True Illusions is a magic trick-themed 30-payline video slot which operates on the Betsoft software platform. The game’s wild symbol is designated with the word ‘Wild’ and the scatter symbol is the character of the Magician. Players are welcome to test this slot on this page for free or visit any of the featured Betsoft casinos to play the game for real money.
In order to try their hand at some first-class illusions, players should adjust their wager. The coin denomination ranges from 0.02 to 1 and is set by pressing “Choose Coin”. “Select Lines” modifies the number of enabled paylines and “Bet Per Line” is used to select the number of coins to bet. “Spin” initiates the game, “Max Bet Spin” spins the reels at the highest stake and “Autoplay” allows players to turn the reels for a preset number of times uninterrupted.
When there are 3 stacked wild cards on the centre reel, the wild reel is unlocked, turning the entire centre reel wild for a number of spins. While the wild reel is active, one cannot alter their coin or bet amount. Doing so would result in the termination of the wild reel. With the wild reel, players can win up to 7 spins.
3 or more Magician symbols on the reels will trigger the Free Spin feature. During this round, the reels cascade down for every spin. The winning combinations will disappear, allowing new combinations to take their place.
When players receive 3 or more Card icons, the Bonus feature is activated. In this round, players choose a card and earn instant bonus wins.

The title of this game can be quite deceptive and misleading, especially to me. Why? Simply because it says itâs âtrue illusionsâ â but illusions to whom and illusions in what sense? I was eager to find out, so I gave this BetSoftâs game a few plays, and by now I can safely come to a conclusion, but what that is, you can find out at the end of this review, hehehe.
True Illusions isnât a new game â it has been around for several years by now, but I donât think it was ever a hit with punters. If youâve played the game, then you would have a good idea why it is so. Basically, the paytable and the win value of all the symbols in the game sucks! The Wild, Scatter and Bonus symbols are all non-paying, whilst the highest paying symbol has only a 16x total bet win value for getting 5 of them, which is ridiculously low. It would have been more acceptable if the game plays with 243 ways to win, but it doesnât, so you can practically say âgoodbyeâ to getting any good big wins!
True Illusions offer 3 feature games for excitement, if any of it can excite you that is. Firstly, landing a fully stacked Wild symbols on reel 3 turns that reel into a Sticky Wild Reel, plus up to 7 free Respins. Sounds good perhaps, but the payouts I got were more like rubbish! Secondly, the Free Spins game awards a ridiculously low 5 free spins without any win multiplier, so once again, good luck in getting anything decent at all! Thirdly, the Bonus Round, is just as bad as the other two features â pick just one card to get an instant cash win, and the wins are usually rubbish as well!
In short, my best win from the game came from the Cards Bonus Round feature with a 25x win, followed by the Sticky Wild Reel with a 20x win, and the free spins totally sucked with 1x up to 11x wins â absolutely rubbish! My advice? Dump away this game and stay away â that magician is a true illusionist conman!
