SOFTWISS Report: Mobile Betting Surges in Q1 2024

The quarterly financial report from SOFTSWISS Sportsbook is here and reveals that mobile betting is still on the rise.

According to the data SOFTSWISS SPortsbook provided in its Q1 2024 report, bets placed through mobile devices accounted for 90% of the company’s Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR). Compared to last year’s 86% GGR share, it’s evident that the trend of bettors transitioning from desktop to mobile is continuing in 2024.

A Way Forward

Alexander Kamenetskyi, Head of SOFTSWISS Sportsbook, commented on this report:

The trends we’ve observed in Q1’24 emphasise our platform’s adaptability and growth while also underscoring critical dynamics in player preferences and technological advancements.

Kamenetskyi added that SOFTSIWSS’s focus on live and mobile betting is a direct response to this data and that the company is seeking to help its partners provide an improved betting experience to their players. It’s why his company has recently launched a free sportsbook budget calculator, among other projects.

The gambling software giant noted that real-time in-play betting plays a key role in customer retention, as it provides an engaging experience that also converts well for the bookies. In fact, the turnover was so good that the company reported a record-breaking 136% month-on-month turnover growth compared to Q4 2023 and 251% annual revenue growth.

Football Still Rules

SOFTSWISS has also highlighted certain shifts in popularity of its top sports, especially tennis overtaking basketball and American football skyrocketing into the top 5 sports offerings thanks to global interest in Super Bowl.

Of course, football betting remains the undisputed champion when it comes to both betting market variety and punters’ interest.
