Kansas to Allow Online Sports Wagers as of 1 September

The US state of Kansas is the next in line to allow its residents to place sports wagers online and is ready for a soft launch on 1 September, with 8 September set as the date for the official launch.

Go, Kansas!

As of 1 September, Kansas players will be able to choose among FanDuel Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook, Caesars, BetMGM and Penn National Gaming's Barstool.

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly signed the sports betting bill into law on 12 May, marking one of the speediest turnarounds from legalisation to the actual launch.

"Legalising sports betting is a common-sense solution that keeps Kansans' money in Kansas and drives business sporting events, casinos, restaurants, and other entertainment venues," the Governor said.

The residents of Sunflower State will have online sports betting at their disposal just in time for the NFL season.
