Online content providers IGT (International Game Technology) have announced the completion of its €160m acquisition of iSoftBet.
A deal paid for in cash will see IGT's portfolio of games double in size. The agreement to purchase the Malta-based game's developer was sealed earlier this year.
IGT will expand its portfolio to include approximately 225 proprietary games as a result of its latest acquisition.
IGT will also be able to distribute third-party games to its clients as a result of the acquisition. IGT's interactive arm will expand its online casino inventory through the migration of the iSoftBets aggregation platform.
The acquisition will also see IGT gain access to iSoftBet's data-led marketing and user engagement tools.
Overseeing the redevelopment of the group's new digital profile, IGT's CEO, Vince Sadusky, said, The acquisition of iSoftBet will provide market-tested proprietary digital content, advanced game aggregation capabilities, scalable promotional tools, analytics and strong creative talent to IGT's PlayDigital operations.
This will enhance PlayDigital's competitive capabilities with a proven, complementary content portfolio across Europe and North America as we provide best-in-class games and technology to our fast-growing iGaming customers.
