In mid-April 2022, International Game Technology PLC announced the acquisition of iSoftBet. With the addition of 225 new proprietary games, the IGT PlayDigital content library will more than double in size and be equipped with a cutting-edge third-party game aggregation platform.
Staggering Numbers
For roughly €160 million in cash, International Game Technology PLC has entered into a definitive deal to purchase top iGaming content supplier and third-party game aggregator iSoftBet.
Additionally, the purchase provides a world-class, proprietary aggregation platform for third-party games and leading data-driven promotional and user-engagement capabilities to increase IGT PlayDigital's content catalogue to approximately 225 proprietary games.
Expanding Content Portfolio Across Europe and North America
According to IGT CEO Vince Sadusky, the acquisition of iSoftBet will give IGT's PlayDigital operations market-tested proprietary digital content, advanced game aggregation capabilities, scalable promotional tools, analytics and great creative talent.
This will enhance PlayDigital's competitive capabilities with a proven, complementary content portfolio across Europe and North America as we provide best-in-class games and technology to our fast-growing iGaming customers., said Sadusky.
The acquisition is expected to finalize in the second quarter of 2022 if all closing conditions are met.
