IGT Extends its Contract With Georgia Lottery Corporation

IGT and Georgia Lottery Corporation Extend Contract

IGT has announced a new partnership with the Georgia Lottery Corporation as they’ve signed a new seven-year contract extension. 

A New Partnership Blossoms

The new partnership will see IGT deploy its lottery and iLottery products and technology that will run into September 2023.

Due to the deal, IGT will launch cashless functionality in over 10,000 point-of-sale retail terminals so customers can use their debit cards.

IGT will also be installing customer-facing ticket scanners, which will support player-initiated transactions, including QR codes, digital payslips and other digital offerings. 

Improving User-Experience

They also announced the launch of more than 4.400 Retailer Pro lottery terminals and equipment in retail stores. There are 600 self-serving vending machines also being replaced with its GameTouch 28 self-serving vending machine. 

Georgia Lottery Corporation President and CEO Gretchen Corbin said, “IGT has been a trusted growth partner with the Georgia Lottery since our inception in 1993, helping us proudly transfer more than $25bn to the Georgia Treasury’s Lottery for Education account.”

Corbin also said that the changes were set to “not only enhance the player experience but will drive significant, incremental value for our state and the beneficiary programmes the Georgia Lottery supports.”

Further Updates Imminent

IGT will also be delivering updates to the Georgia Lottery’s lottery and iLottery central system which includes migrating components of each system to the cloud.
