ICE London Kicks Off Today

ICE London Opens Its Doors Today, After Two-Year Gap

ICE London is opening its doors for attendees today, April 12 at ExCeL London, and will keep them open till April 14.

The decision to replace zoom gatherings with in-person mingling came from the high guest demand. Naturally, going live with ICE London wouldn't be possible had there not been solid Covid-19 regulations and UK government relaxations.

Clarion Gaming managing director Stuart Hunter says ICE London is in full speed, with over 450 brands exhibiting.

A New "Dynamic" for ICE London 2022

Some exhibitors, like Merkur, Novomatic, and EGT have stated they will not participate in the rescheduled event. Others, however, are there at full speed and are using ICE London to reveal a batch of new things they've got going on.

With over 450 businesses attending and strong buyer support, Clarion Gaming managing director Stuart Hunter said Clarion Gaming was committed to reuniting the sector. He stated that the event is still the largest global gaming exhibition.

"As a team, we never like to lose any of our exhibitors, but we will always respect their reasons for deciding not to participate," he said. "Ours are lifetime customers, and we are working with them to assist some in retaining a presence at ICE through sponsorship and by hosting clients at the event while also confirming their return in 2023".

More Visitors Expected to Participate in the ICE Experience

Hunter believes that the UK Government's Plan A Covid response, which includes a significant easing of Covid restrictions, such as eliminating mandatory face masks and relaxation of the rules governing Covid certification passports, will encourage more visitors to visit London and participate in the ICE experience.

He pointed out that the ICE brand has always sought to represent the whole gaming ecosystem, including smaller businesses that rely on the show for a large percentage of their annual revenue.

"The team is fully focused on the task ahead and will do whatever it takes to deliver an unforgettable celebration of the industry when it meets in London.", said Hunter in conclusion.

As per the latest update, Zitro has decided not to exhibit at this year's ICE London. They explained their primary reason to cancel was triggered by the widespread worry over the Omicron variation, and the inconvenience of the new show dates coinciding with Easter. However, they said they look forward to seeing everyone again in 2023.

“Zitro strongly believes in ICE London as the key international tradeshow for the European market and is enthusiastic about participating in the next edition of ICE’23."
