Conquering iGaming One Regulated Market at a Time: Yggdrasil Gaming

Name any prominent gambling jurisdiction, and you will likely find Yggdrasil Gaming among the software provider licensees. From Georgia to Mexico, Yggdrasil has conquered the world of iGaming with a broad stroke by steadily pursuing a proven market expansion strategy.

Yggdrasil Gaming: A Worldwide Brand

The only way to succeed in the ever-changing landscape of iGaming is to embrace the advancement of regulated markets, and this is precisely what Yggdrasil has done.

Currently, the games provider serves operators in 24 officially licensed jurisdictions.

Of those 24, Yggdrasil carries 16 European B2B licences. From the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy and Finland, Yggdrasil has set up a base in virtually all major European jurisdictions, in addition to several smaller, emerging markets, such as the Czech Republic, Romania and Georgia.

As the provider takes over Europe, with the latest licence acquired in March 2023 in their homeland of Sweden, Yggdrasil has also been looking across the pond to expand its business.

The 2019 Patagonia Entertainment integration marked the LatAm market debut for Yggdrasil games, allowing the provider to offer its content to players in Mexico and Colombia. The Latin American quest continued in January this year when Yggdrasil scored another licence in the region from the City of Buenos Aires. Way to go, Yggdrasil!

In a recent interview with Gaming Intelligence, the company's ethos was best summed up: 

"The passion for gaming is a crucial part of Yggdrasil's mindset, and the company works with 360-degree feedback looping to get relevant insights from customers and players on  its offerings to better capture player's needs.

Apparently, this frame of mind has played out rather well for Yggdrasil.
