I played Zombie Rush video slot a long time ago and at first I like it. The game has 20 paylines and it is created by Leander Games software provider.

I played it at minimum bet size which is set to 0,2€. The game has a few different features. First is nuclear zombie feature which activated when a wild symbols stops on the screen over a zombie symbols. Some of liquid from the wild will be spilled over it, converting every zombie of the same type into a wild. I like this feature because it is active also during free spins where you can win some nice money.
I won around 20€ from 0,2€ bet at free spins when this nuclear zombie feature appears. Free spins are triggered by 3 symbols which appear on reel 1, 3 and 5. I received most of the time 2 scatters, the free spins are hard to get.

Finding Claire bonus is bad. 3 bonus symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 will trigger this bonus. Into this bonus game Max has to find Claire by opening doors and revealing the content of each room. I played this bonus couple of times, but I had no luck on it. The game has nice paytable if I talk about wilds symbols. Other symbols could pay more. I think I should play this game more often because I like the theme about zombies.

I also like graphics. It has very clear pictures of symbols and other thing. There are autoplay button which is very useful and also quick spin option. I don't have any bad words to say about this game, after all I had nice win at free spins.

Sometimes the free spins feature is hard to trigger and this is the only bad thing. Most of the time will came up bonus game which is bad for me.

It took me for a while till I could realize this is actually a Leander product and not a Betsoft. Every visual element the game uses is so typical Betsoft attribute that the question never brought up regarding the developer and owner so it was really a great surprise when I got to know the truth. Perhaps I should have known it much earlier because if I play this slot I do it at Goldbet where not much Betsoft slots are available to play even though Leander is also not the main provider there. Anyway, it doesn’t matter who created this slot generally I don’t like this graphical style although I admit the high pictorial quality this game has. I just can’t sympathize with the reel area where there are no symbol and reel dividing lines and I always feel as the entire picture consists of just one image and it seems to me very crowded and confusing illustration scheme.

The theme of the slot is great and nowadays very popular as the slot deals with an apocalyptic world where zombies took over the world and the survivors have to fight for their lives every day. Of course the slot is not so dramatic as it has a little funny mood and not so scary living dead characters. I really like the great, life-like background image (which is a real respectable graphical work) where we can see a destroyed street and burning houses but I think the applied symbols and characters could be more specific and better chosen. I have no problem with the zombie figures but I definitely selected other symbols for this game than brain or characterless quarantine tables or baseball bat. So overall I’m not too impressed with the interface of the game and had to realize again this appearance style is definitely not for me.

Interestingly the slot offers not just one Jackpot triggering symbol but we can achieve the grand prize with 4! different icons. This is possible because of the Nuclear Zombie feature. Every time when the Wild symbol arrives to the position over a Zombie figure on the reels that living dead pictogram turns into Wild and all other Zombies on the screen from the same kind and because the slot has 3 Zombie symbol we can win the best paying 5 of a kind line by Wild and the 3 transformed Zombie symbols. Every one of them has the ability to pay 1500 times of line bet. It sounds really great but playing the game not just these winning combinations but any wins with transformed Zombies are very hard to achieve and this is absolute not a frequently triggered feature.

3 Free Spin emblems on the first, third and last reels activate the bonus (10 free spins) where the mentioned Nuclear Zombie feature is still in force and here the Zombies come in stacked format. To be honest I don’t really understand that stacked formula because using this method there’s less chance to get transformed Zombies so less chance for Jackpot and I don’t know how this can be a plus feature during free games. Anyway, maybe this is the part of the game where the winning combinations appear more often times and it’s thanked to the re-spin feature, when every 2 or more appearing identical symbols of a winning combination remains to their spots and all other reels and icons spin once more.

In Finding Claire bonus round we have to help the boy finding Claire by searching out rooms which all hide instant cash prizes or a Zombie that ends the side game or the main goal when Claire is found and the best what the bonus can give is awarded. It’s neither an interesting nor boring secondary game and a little bit like a feature what the player doesn’t really enjoy and maybe wait for the end to collect the prize and be back to normal game mode.

In my book this slot is just an average slot and still it hasn’t proved me that I’m wrong with that opinion. The payout tendency of the game is also ordinary and as I said the free game segment is the most profitable but playing with just €1 the usual gift of that segment doesn’t exceed the x20-x30 of total bet. I suppose because I’m not a fan of a game like this with such appearance the slot hasn’t the ability to really entertain me and I think the excitement factor also a territory in what this slot should improve so without any part of the game what I could really love it definitely won’t become one of my favorite Leander product and sometimes I also question that it would really deserve to popping in just to play a few spins.
