Overview of Zeus vs Hades - Gods of War Game
Zeus vs Hades - Gods of War is a 5-reel, 5-row slot by Pragmatic Play. The theme is Greek mythology of the immortal brothers Olympus and Hades. You can play Zeus vs Hades - Gods of War in two standard modes, Play in Olympus (high volatility) and Play in Hades (very high volatility). You can switch between these two modes anytime while playing the standard part of the game.
You can experience the same great gameplay in either mode; the difference is volatility and some symbols. Olympus is associated with lightning, while Hades is a god of fire, so though some symbols are the same, they take the blue lightning and red flame colours with Olympus and Hades’ modes, respectively.
Most of the higher-paying symbols change in look and colour; between the two modes, the regular symbols, A, K, Q, J, and 10, stay the same. If you are trying the Zeus vs Hades - Gods of War demo, you can expect to find a Wild symbol that appears on all reels and stands in for all other symbols except the Scatter, which is the temple. The symbol with the word WILD is, obviously, the Wild symbol and the higher paying symbols are the chalice, bird, Pegasus (Olympus) / Cerberus (Hades), and the highest is Zeus / Hades.
Scatters can appear during the standard modes and on reels one, three and five. Three or more of these symbols trigger the Free Spins feature. Scatters only appear on the standard modes, but you can enjoy Expanding Wilds on the standard and bonus rounds.
Expanding Wild symbols appear on any reels and expand vertically on the reel they appear on. Once this happens, a random multiplier between 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x, 20x, 25x, 50x and 100x will be triggered. If more than one Expanding Wild symbol appears during a spin win, then more than one multiplier is triggered.

Under normal situations and circumstances, I would always avoid playing any game by Pragmatic Play, simply because their games are always brutal to me – so many losses as against the very few wins I have gotten over the years. However, whenever Pragmatic holds a contest at Askgamblers, I wouldn’t want to miss participating in any of them, hahaha.
This Zeus Vs Hades game is a strange one, if I may say so. It plays with 5 reels and 5 rows, yet it has only 15 paylines, so getting any kind of win, big or small, can be very elusive indeed! It tends to play with so many empty dead spins consecutively, gives one or two small wins, then it goes back into its cold mode again. Very disappointing most of the time. However, when it suddenly goes hot, it can drop gold coins like in a thunderstorm!
The game plays in 2 modes – choose either Zeus or Hades, with Hades being the more volatile version. Don’t be fooled though, the Zeus mode can be just as brutal as the Hades mode. Whenever one of these Gods appear in a winning combination, it becomes a full Wild Reel with a random win multiplier. All 5 reels can be activated at once, although I haven’t seen or heard of such a happening. Nonetheless, the maximum possible win at any time is capped at 15,000x the bet amount, but that is certainly huge and excitable enough for any player.
Let me be very honest here. I have played this game so many times already, on various occasions, at various casinos, yet I have never managed to make any single win withdrawal as yet! That really sucks! There have been a few times when it paid a nice big win of over 1000x, my best win being 1501x, but the game would then go dead suddenly, and I would end up losing all of my credits balance in the end. Yes, this game can be that brutal, but can be a good one too!
My dislikes on this game? Basically, there are two - the frequent so many dead spins consecutively at a time and that measly 15 paylines for a 5-rows game. Without any full Wild Reels on the reels, it is totally impossible to get any decent win!
