Many video slots are based on the Greek mythology. Again and again it proves to be a hot theme among established software providers. Zeus III from WMS is no different since this game also focuses on the Greek god himself. Unfortunately Zeus III is one of them slots I had terrible experiences with due to losing more than 500 euros in a single session.

I have to admit I was betting high though with 1.60 euro per spin. What also didn’t help was the fact that I probably had to wait more than 1,000 spins to unlock the free spins feature. In those cases it’s better to leave the slot alone instead of chasing the feature. I had to learn it to the hard way and still sometimes make that mistake.

However, it shouldn’t be a too big of a negative factor while writing this review. Zeus III certainly has a lot of things I do like in a slot as well. The format is extremely different from what the average slot looks like. We have to give WMS some credit here for their creativity. Zeus III offers 6-reels and 192-paylines, but the first reel only has 2 rows, the second reel has 3 rows, third reel has 4 rows, fourth reel has 5 rows, fifth reel has 6 rows and the sixth reel has 7 rows.

So this game offers the possible to have a six-of-a-kind and that 192 times. However, let’s not get carried away since it’s extremely difficult to get there. In addition, Zeus III offers wilds and the Zeus logo will turn into a wild as well if it covers the whole reel.

Because of this and the layout of this game, Zeus III is quite entertaining to play. I failed to have any decent wins during the base game though. Don’t think I won more than 50x bet size, but then again I was chasing the free spins.

You need 3, 4 or 5 scatters to unlock the 10, 25 or 50 free spins. After a long time I finally managed to get 3 scatters to win 10 free spins. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I saw the reels getting flipped from right to left, meaning the first reel all of a sudden had 7 rows and the other reels followed the same slot format in opposite direction ending up with reel six having 2 rows.

In other words, the odds of winning something significantly increase during free spins. But that’s not all folks! The Zeus symbol turns into an expanding wild during free spins, which contributes to your success heavily as well. Although I saw a few of those expanding wilds during my feature, I failed to get a significant return on my investment. I won like 75x bet size and decided to switch to another game with 500 euro net loss.

I guess I was just unlucky, but despite my loss this game can definitely be terrific if it reaches its full potential during FS.

Greek mythology is very interesting and this might be the main reason why a lot of gaming provider making games based on it.

Williams Interactive or WMS, is one of the leading gaming providers in the world of gambling and I think their games are marvelous. One of their best is Kronos but they also have another great games namely the Zeus series. I have played the first Zeus game at a landbased casino and it was amazing game to play. I didn't know that this game is also available online since a few years ago. As soon I found out about it, I played the game for 4 hours non stop.

Playing a game a few hours straight might bored you and it actually did but then I saw Zeus III. A totally different game than it's predecessors. The shape of the game was new to me and I like new things. First, I need to explore the game. Yes, I also could read the manual/info but I like to be surprised. The game has 192 paylines, scatters and wild reels. Now, I must be honest, it was hard to win 3 scatters and I had to spin a lot to win the bonus round.

Zeus III has an interesting concept, when the bonus feature is triggered, the reels are flipped and Zeus symbol are stacked and stretched when they appear on a reel. It's almost impossible to have Zeus symbol on every reel though. There are few other games that have the same gameplay as Zeus, one of them is Red Flag Fleet but I think Zeus III is way better.

Zeus is a character that used for games quite a lot. There are now about 5 variations of Zeus games in the market, at least that's what I know but I think there are more of them. Zeus III could be generous if you're patience. Recently, the game has been updated, it runs smoothly now and no lags.

I've noticed Williams Interactive (more commonly WMS) being praised almost without limit in the on-line forums over the past year or two, credited with producing excellent paying games with fresh ideas and professional presentation and graphics. Some of this I agree with though I suspect that for many regular gamblers it is the sudden wide scale availability of these games, previously restricted to a single on-line casino (Jackpot Party, I believe) and machines inside land based casinos which has caught peoples attention. Games such as Zeus and Ruby Slippers were often featured in Youtube videos paying out enormous sums in Vegas but the majority of players were unable to experience these slots whereas now they can - looked at in this light, the sudden rush of people flocking to try these games was bound to cause a burst of publicity.

If you are not familiar with any WMS games then Zeus III might well look a little strange to you - the reels expanding from left to right is quite common in their games but has rarely been seen in the on-line world until now. This arrangement allows for a steeply arranged paytable but also increases the number of dead spins because of the small 2 symbol high first reel - if you do not match those first two reels you've hit a dead end unless you happen to score three or more FEATURE symbols to start the free spins mode.

The paytable looks a little alarming at first with the top symbol returning a maximum of 10x stake, but bear in mind there are stacked wilds on all six reels therefore it is possible to score 192 of these simultaneously! The game does not state it's maximum jackpot within the paytable as you might expect but interestingly it does mention there is a maximum payout per spin of 250,000.00 - I would hope that all honest casinos will enforce a maximum stake designed to avoid a player hitting this limit and losing a large chunk of their win but the majority of players are unlikely to ever have a problem regardless - how many people ever play at 125 per spin?!

Zeus III is not my favourite WMS game but if you are yet to try their games it might be a good place to start - it's much less brutal than Raging Rhino whilst still retaining a decent sized maximum payout.

The game features 192 paylines which might sound like a lot, but bear in mind that the slots unusual layout would actually allow for a theoretical maximum of 5040 paylines! It's not surprising that WMS create other games with this layout that utilise ways to win rather than paylines and I have to say I prefer that system despite the fact that the paytable wins are quite significantly reduced in that setup.

Zeus III is video slot with 6 reels and 192 pay lines. It is powered by WMS (Williams Interactive) software. I played this game recently when I tried a few games from this software. I like this software more now because I saw that have some games which can produce big, huge winnings.

I started to play this slot with 20€ without any bonus because I was hoping to get something big and requested cash out later. I played at minimum bet, which is set to 0.40€. I think this is ok, but it could be set to 0.30€ because all other 243 payways slots has that minimum stake and this game has lower paylines.

The big winnings here came from free spins feature. Well at least I think so. To trigger free spins feature you must hit at least 3 scatters symbols. I like the fact that feature could be also retriggered during free spins, but I think this don't happen often. While I was playing it, I thought that will be easier to get those scatters. Almost at the end when my balance was near to zero, I received it but they poor. Few euros. After that I played a couple of spins and I lost the money.

I like this game because it could produce big winnings. But to do that you must have luck and received some wild reels into this game. I saw some videos and it could really pay good on this minimum stake.

The bad thing is that free spins feature is hard to get. I would also like to see quick spin button and better graphics. Especially with symbols. But this is WMS software so I will get used to it as long as they will provide this kind of games that could bring you a lot of money.

I think that I fell in love with Williams Interactive slots the first time I tried them. This slot is somewhere in between the love and hate relationship. At first look this is a very strange game. It has 6 reels and 192 paylines. The graphic and animations are on the same descent level like all the other slot games coming from this software provider. The minimum bet is 0.40 euros so you will need a higher bankroll to try this game for real money. The main symbol of the game is Zeus and if he comes stacked on an entire reel then the whole reel becomes wild. I think this is one of the main features that make this game interesting to play. There is also a wild symbol who substitutes for all other symbols except the Feature symbol. The Feature symbol is the hand of Zeus Holding a lightning and 3 of them award you 10 free spins. If you get 4 of these lightning’s you will get 25 free spins plus 10 x total bet win. For 5 of these on the reels you will get an incredible 50 free spins plus 50 x total bet.

The Zeus 3 slot is again a WMS game unique in its kind. The slot appears as a grid of 2x 3x 4x 5x 6x 7 with six reels instead of five and an increasing number of lines (from 2 lines on first reel, to 7 on the last reel). Here all possible ways pay and the number of paylines rises to 192. Due to this peculiarity there are possible combinations of “6 of a kind” that pay enormously, but which are obtained with extreme difficulty. Furthermore, only 2 lines on reel one is a major drawback for the alignment symbols, and almost only just when on the reels 1 or 2 there is a wild you will be able to get the symbols aligned. In the rest of the game very easily there will be stacked wilds on most reels but on reel one you will miss that very symbol so necessary. However, if you play enough you will not lose much here. And if you have the courage to continue although the losses still gather at a moment you will be greatly rewarded.

First, you will have those rare “6 of a kind” promised and thus you will jump with 10 Euro from a single spin. Then, quite often “3 or 4 of a kind” will bring again 1-2 Euro. (However, because wins are so rare one can have losses up to 10-15 Euros before being really rewarded.) This reward will come when you enter into the Free Spins. One thing I know for sure, I love WMS powered video slots. Zeus III is an example of it.

First time playing this game was on the land based casino in the Netherlands. The first time I saw it I thought the game was kinda odd because of the paylines, it looks like a pyramid but turned sideways.

Anyhow, I was curious about the game so I sat down and put a 50 euro bill and start playing. About an hour later I lost my 50 euro but I wasn't disappointed because I did enjoyed it. It's just too bad that I didn't win but that's the risk you take if you play.
A few months later I accidentally found Zeus III at CasinoEuro (my favorite casino) and without hesitate I grab my wallet and made a deposit. Lucky me, at that moment CasinoEuro was giving a deposit bonus of 50% so I had more money to play.
The only different about Zeus III online and land based is that the land based version has a jackpot feature and unfortunately this is not in case for the online version but I still enjoyed playing it. Why? Well the reason is because I had more luck playing Zeus III online as I played it on a land based casino. For example: within 10 spins I got 4 scatters, won prize money, 25 free spins and...over 200 euro winning from the free spins because of the Zeus symbols were nudged during the free spins.
Zeus III is just as great as his predecessors.

I first came across this game on SlotsMagic casino, and my thought of it are not all great. The game definitely looks good, and for me personally it is the only good thing about this game. With 192 lines it sure can pay huge and if you manage to catch it in a good mood, it can make your day. The game also has a stop feature and I use it all of the time. I have got more features on a double tap then in a normal spin, and I would recommend for all to try.

The best way to win in this game is through free spins. You can tones of free spins and the most I ever got was 25 free spins for getting 4 bolts on the reels. It is possible to re trigger the bonus but I was only able to do it once, with a total of 20 free spins. Wilds are what you want to get, and whenever you do get them they cover the whole reel. Best I was able to get was, first 4 reels covered with wilds which paid over €90 on €0.80 bet.

The graphics and sound effects are awesome, and the game is very enjoyable. I can play it for a long time without getting bored and I give thumbs up for that.

Even though the game looks epic it has a lot of disadvantages. The most important one in my view is the small pays. There are times when I get lots of wins but end up only getting a fiver and that is very annoying. Even in free spins you need to get 4 or more wilds to get a decent win.
