When it comes to online slot reviews, we ensure to look at all aspects of the game and evaluate its quality. Join us with our Wisdom of Athena slots review as we look at what to expect from this slot.
Overview of Wisdom of Athena Game
As with various Pragmatic Play slots, this title has excellent graphics, featuring the goddess Athena on the left of the reels carrying her famous Aegis shield.
The high-paying symbols range between Greek icons, like an urn, a golden coin featuring Medusa, a scroll, and a Greek helm. The low-paying symbols are different coloured etchings on gems featuring a chariot, swords, a helmet, and Athena’s godly animal, an owl.
Besides the exceptional graphics, you can expect quality sound following the Greek theme. You can adjust this sound in the settings, as Pragmatic Play generally offers you options to turn on or off the Sound FX, Ambient Music, Quick Spin, Battery Saver, and the Intro Screen.
Wisdom of Athena Game Characteristics
This slot offers high volatility gameplay, which means you might find it takes longer to land a win, but you often land more significant payouts. The betting range is between £0.10 and £100, which is about the average for this provider’s slots.
While the slot has a ranging RTP with a percentage going from 94.09% up to 96.07%, it has an exciting max win of 5,000x.
This slot also features Athena as the Scatter, with the goddess delivering bonus features if you land her three times on the reels. Three Scatters also pay left to right and right to left, unlike typical paylines.
Wisdom of Athena Bonus Features
Players can look forward to the double bet feature, which increases your stake but gives you double the chances to trigger the bonus feature. However, you cannot access the bonus buy while this feature is active.
On the other hand, the bonus buy allows you to purchase Free Spins if you don’t want to leave it up to luck. The average cost of this feature is around 100x your stake, so consider whether the price is worth it.
Free Spins Features
If you want to play slots with bonus rounds, then this one's for you. The Free Spins are the slot’s primary feature. In our slot review, we found that you can purchase Free Spins or trigger the bonus feature by landing three Scatters on the reels.
The background changes from Olympus during the day to Olympus at night. You also have a multiplier counter, which can go up to 100x multipliers if the conditions are right. You start with 10 free spins but might get more depending on your luck.

Summary of Wisdom of Athena - Buy Free Spins are Available
The Wisdom of Athena slot demo is the same as the real money play and allows you to test the game before spending cash on it. This title promises the same quality as other Pragmatic Play ones and delivers an exciting time while you play it.
However, you should play online slots for entertainment, so always remember only to wager money you can afford to lose. We don’t recommend using the Buy Feature, as there’s no guarantee you’ll win back the amount you paid for it. A better option is to use the Double Bet feature. You can adjust your stake so it falls within your bankroll and enjoys increased chances to trigger the Free Spins.

A slot from Pragmatic Play and has a theme of goddess of war and she has wisdom according to the Greek myth. The slot has a cluster design with grid of 6x6 and min bet of 0.20 per spin. Max win cap of 5000x is decent.
To trigger the feature requires at least 4 scatters and it took me a few hundred spins to get there but it does eventually trigger just takes longer without using ante bets. What the game is about is that the more wins you get the more it unlocks the top row where symbols can appear and help in winning combinations. During the free spins once a symbol position is unlocked it stays unlocked for the rest of the feature.
So after taking almost 300 spins to trigger the feature it went on to award me with a 5.2x feature which which was a bit shocking but it is what it is with slots and you gotta roll with the punches or with the spins in this case, later on played on and scored a base win that was over 80x which put the feature win to shame.
The music and sound effects are top notch with piano and various other instruments as well as Athena speaking depending on the action on the reels which adds to the atmosphere of it all.
A good slot these days has bonus buys and ante bets and Wisdom of Athena has both of those too, with the bonus buy being simple a 100x cost and the ante bet costs just a reasonable 25% extra to give you greater chance of trigger the features.
The casino gave me the 94.09% version to play with and that is what I had a go on and perhaps the 96%+ RTP version would have been kinder but who knows didn’t get to play the max RTP version but if I could have I would have.
The fact that the slot was capable of paying me just 5.2x rubbed me the wrong way and even tho it made up for it with a 80x+ base win it just feels like there should be some kind of bonus guarantee such as 20x and Pragmatic does have some slots that do have a bonus guarantee and this is what these high variance slot monsters should have too cause doing almost 300 spins and getting slapped with a sub 10x is shocking.
