Wild West Bounty is a game from SkillOnNet that I play from time to time. I have realized that this game is great when you have a big wager. You do not win a lot but at least you manage to maintain your balance somehow. The thing that I like the most in the Wild West Bounty video slot game is that there are regular wins during the base game.

The game play is also interesting because this is a game that offers varieties of features. The wild in this game is the sheriff badge symbol and like any other wild it can substitute for all the other symbols. The dynamite scatters activate the bandit who shoots the symbols and leave five holes. You need to select one of the sheriff`s bullet holes to see how many free spins you will get. You can get 2, 3, 4, 5 and I got only 2. Later if you want to win up to 5.20 you can go on a duel. If you chose the Cowboy it will be easy, Lawmaker is moderate and Wyatt Erp is quite risky, and I chose to risk. I lost and I got only 0.25. Next time I chose the lawmaker and I lost again and I won only 0.28. At times I have a feeling that all this mini features are a bit childish and time consuming but at other times I think I can earn something small, and small is better than nothing when you gamble.

In my experience the Wild West Bounty is better than any other games that I have played from SkillOnNet. It has many interesting small features and bonus rounds and you are never bored while you are playing it. Just do not expect to win huge. It does offer a maximum payout of 100.000 coins per line but that rarely happens.

We don’t have any doubt about the theme of this slot if we look at the name and basically we get visually what we initially expected and we’re surrounded by very characteristic western symbols like guns, boot, hat, gold and some others and the not to be missed great country music in the background. The graphics of the game is decent and has a little funny style but I think the reel area is too homogeneous and maybe the mustard-yellow color domination there wasn’t the best idea from the creators. I also feel that the entire screen is overcrowded by several different pictorial elements and the eternal truth ‘the less sometimes gives more back’ is very obvious here and I really think a simpler overall screen would have been more powerful and would cause much more enjoyment for players.

This 30-payline slot has a very unique top prize to offer which is 100.000 times of line bet, no it’s not 1000 or even 10.000 coins it’s truly 100.000 and without a question this is one of the best paying SkillOnNet slots. If I think further and can recall precisely I have never played with a game when a single, clean (I mean not with help of Wild) line win would reward its customer with such huge prize. To be honest, I wouldn’t expect that it happens at a SkillOnNet game.
Of course getting a chance for this unmatched main prize we have to place a little bit higher bet and if we want to use all paylines and maximize our possibilities the minimum stake of the game is €3 but I guess if our balance let it we must have a mentality something like this ‘why wouldn’t I try it’. It’s a typical high risk-high reward situation.

Anyway, Gold Bars icons would make us real happy if 5 of them would appear on an active payline and for me it’s a little bit strange that this symbol is really out there to give out the Jackpot without any secondary function. There are many examples when Scatter or Wild fulfill the most coveted symbol position but I prefer the used method here when the Jackpot winning symbol takes responsibility only to this prize and doesn’t deal with anything else.

I don’t want to repeat myself and I’ve already told in some other reviews how I dislike the bonus feature triggering method at SkillOnNet slot and this is the case here too when we must collect 500 bonus points (every appearing Bonus symbol on the screen during normal game gives 100 bonus points) to get the first stage of bonus when we have to shoot down 3 target which all rewards instant cash prizes and if we have 1000 points we go the Shooting Bonus but this time we must be smarter as all targets are moving. My two problems with this bonus are it is very poorly rewarding side game (most of the time I don’t win back even the placed bet amount) and even if the game wouldn’t be bad but all of shots are ‘can’t miss’ one and the obvious lack of being challenging makes this bonus less entertaining and sometimes I feel its monotony.

There’s another additional special bonus which is activated after getting a special winning combination on the reels and I think the most important here is the numbers of triggering symbol. If we play the bonus after getting 2 triggering symbols the average prize here is just 5 times of coin denomination while collecting 5 Wanted symbols and with their help going to the bonus can be real promising opportunity because the average payout then is around 5000 times of denomination. Actually, this is also a shooting feature when first we have the freedom to choose from 3 options (Risky, Moderate, Easy) to determine the difficulty of the extra which influences the possibilities of bigger wins. So far I have never got more than 3 triggering symbols and after the side game my balance wasn’t increased more than €7 so I think I can safely say that this extra is an almost forgettable add-on to the game.

Of course the game offers free spins too which activating method is not too common as it’s enough if we’re collecting just one Dynamite symbol anywhere on the reels and the Sheriff comes along and shoot 5 times and we have to select one of the bullet holes to determine how many free games we’re actually awarded. It can be from 2 spins to 10 spins which are played with normal conditions and in my opinion this is the most profitable side game from the 3 but it also can’t really live up to the expectations because the most I could collect here was around €35 which is not a great reward at all.

Basically, there are two things which are still worth to play this slot, naturally, first and foremost the awesome grand prize and secondly that the game is a really interesting product and playing with it the player always feels that something happens every time and that’s why the slot would have the ability to keep its customer well-entertained and excited all the time but the otherwise terrible average payout quality really destroys all of the great qualities. Honestly, without the top prize the game barely could reach the overall average quality level and the relative high minimum stake is also not an attractive attribute even if it maybe understandable considering the Jackpot amount. I think the real attraction is the mentioned Jackpot and this is the only reason why I return sometimes to this slot if my bankroll is in good condition because other things just aren’t able to raise my attention here.
