The Wolf’s Bane Slot NetEnt

The Wolf’s Bane slot features 5 reels and 10 paylines, and it is running on NetEnt software. The game is inspired with werewolves and it is superbly designed, both in terms of artwork and sound effects. It is not the most feature-rich slot out there, but there is enough to spend some quality gaming time while scooping some nice wins. Visit this medieval village here for fun or at any NetEnt Casino for real.

How to Play The Wolf’s Bane Slot

Werewolves are threatening and you can help to protect the villagers, just make sure to set your bets beforehand.

  • Coin denominations can be set by clicking Coin Value Arrow buttons.
  • Fast Forward will set the speed at which the reels will turn.
  • Spin will set the reels in motion after the bets have been set.
  • Autoplay will turn the reels automatically for a chosen number of times without interruption.

Slot Features

This game offers 3 features which includes Pick and Click, Free Spins, and Wild whereas there are some modifiers added to the Wild feature.

The game has 4 different type of Wilds it can boast with: Regular Wild, Expanding Wild, x2 Multiplier Wild and Spreading Wild. Regular Wild can substitute for all the symbols in the game except for the Scatter, and its only functionality is to replace a symbol in a win combo.

Expanding Wild will automatically expand to cover the entire reel it appears on resulting in a win. Multiplier x2 Wild will multiply all wins by x2 when they are formed. Spreading Wild will turn 1 adjacent or diagonal symbol into an additional Wild.

Pick and Click

The Pick and Click feature is activated when 3 Bonus symbols appear on the reels during the main game. Bonus symbols appear on reels 1, 3 and 5 only. The player clicks on one of the Bonus symbols to reveal a coin win. Keep in mind that only 1 prize is awarded per Pick and Click round. Wins in this feature range between x5 and x50.

Free Spins

Full Moon is the Scatter, and landing 3 or more of them anywhere on the reels will trigger the Free Spins bonus round. The number of spins awarded will depend on the number of triggering symbols. For 3 Scatters you get 10 spins, for 4 you get 20 spins, and for 5 triggering symbols you get 30 spins.

Before the feature kicks in, the Wild Board will appear and select one of 4 random Wild features. During Free Spins, an Overlay symbol will randomly appear on reels 1 to 3 in every spin, and act the same way as the active Wild feature. The Overlay Wild appears randomly, and each Free Spins session randomly triggers one of the 4 different Wild features.

The Wolf’s Bane is a pretty basic slot but we liked the simplicity here especially since it is a medium variance slot with maximum wins capped at x1000 your stake per spin. Admittedly, the win potential and RTP could be better, but the features and design make up for it, making this slot fairly interesting to play.

One of the latest releases from Netent, with 5 reels and 10 Paylines. The only thing that manages to do is to approach mediocrity. With poor paytable and annoying sounds,no second reason for me to try on this slot.

This game reminds me a lot of NetEnt’s much earlier hit game, The Bloodsuckers. Although I do like that game, it wasn’t one of my favourites. With this newish game, The Wolf’s Bane, it looks nice and interesting enough to make me want to give it a try at least, and that’s exactly what I did for a few hours. Well, at least I’m satisfied that I could get a few hours of playtime and not just a few minutes, as many of other newer games tend to do, hehehe.

What matters most to me, as with every other game, is how good the paytable is, specifically, the win values of all the symbols. In this game, things doesn’t look that good at all, that’s because getting 5 Wild symbols would only pay 50x the total bet, same as for the top regular symbol, whilst both the Scatter and Bonus symbols are non-paying, so there’d be lots of missed small wins during play - not to my liking of course! The free spins game starts off with only 10 free spins, without any win multipliers, unless you get the Wild Multiplier mode – again not to my liking. Thankfully though, more free spins can be retriggered, but I’ve only gotten one time of that Retrigger business, so that’s not good either!

The Bonus game is rather disappointingly boring, if I may say so, because I don’t like ‘Pick-Me’ bonus features, whereby the payouts would usually hardly ever be good enough. In this game, that Bonus game would pay anything from 2x to 50x the total bet, out of 3 items to pick, so getting that 50x win may not be that difficult – in fact, I managed to get it 3 or 4 times within one play session, so that wasn’t so bad after all, hehehe.

The free spins have 4 modes, whereby clicking the ‘STOP’ button would randomly stop on one of the modes – Expanding Wild, Wild Multiplier, Regular Wild or Spreading Wilds. Which pays better? Well, hard to say for certain, but my best win so far came from the Expanding Wild mode, getting 3 Wild Reels 2 times, plus one Retrigger - nonetheless, the final payout was still a disappointing 167x! How big can the wins in this game go? God knows, but getting all Wild symbols on the 10 paylines would pay a nice 500x win, but then again, how often can anyone expect to get such a win, right? The Wolf’s Bane is just a decent game, and that’s about it!

The Wolf's Bane is a slot I found out about nearly 2 months ago when Videoslots were running a tournament on this new release. I played hundreds of spins on it and I had managed to explore all of its features so later on I was curious to try it out with a few small deposits.

The Wolf's Bane is a NetEntertainment slot with 5 reels and 10 paylines, therefore you can bet as little as 10 cents per spin which is quite good for low-rolling, an alternative to Starburst or other similar slots. Right off the bat, I do enjoy the theme of this slot, it's dark and witchy and it's the perfect design for Autumn season.

So the game has a base game feature and a free spins bonus round. The base game feature isn't too exciting as you need to get bonus symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 and for that, you will have to choose one of the bonus symbols to reveal your coin prize. It ranges from 10x-50x bet and I've got a 50x bet win once from it- in that case, it was a nice boost, but generally, I'd get like 20x bet win, so it's nothing really major.

Then, if you collect 3 scatter symbols (but for more you get more free spins) you will receive one of the free spins bonus rounds with different features. My favorite so far is the expanding wild feature as it can expand wild symbols into a whole wild reel and will add another reel into a wild, or if there's no wild on the spin, it will place one. Due to this feature, I've had a couple of decent 5oak wins.  My second favorite is the wild multiplier feature as there wilds have multipliers and additional wilds are added on the reels.

I think that this probably is a bit underrated slot. I think it has decent winning potential, in my experience, it isn't too difficult to trigger the bonus round and it can be a good balance boost as it has given me a bonus right before getting bust, literally saving my balance. This won't be a game I can't wait to play regularly but I think it's a good option for small balance and balance boost.
