Slot Features
The mechanic that the game employs is the 10-spin cycle progression game that you play in rounds. The counter is set in the bottom right corner, displaying on a red ornament ball. Each time you make a spin, the counter will take one down. All Holiday Robber symbols will convert into Ornament Bombs that will turn Wild after the 10-spin cycle ends.
Wild Bombs
Ornament Bombs happen when a Holiday Robber lands on the reels. Each Robber turns to Bomb and becomes sticky, remaining in the position where it landed until the Countdown reaches 0. At this point all Bombs will explode and turn Wild, and meter will get reset back to 10. All Wilds can substitute for all the symbols in the game except for the Santa’s Sleigh and the Holiday Robber.
Santa’s Sleigh Spins
Scatters can appear only on reels 2, 3 and 4. If you catch 3 Santa’s Sleigh symbols on the reels, you will trigger the bonus round that awards 15 spins to begin with, and 5, 7 or 10 Wilds that will be scattered all over the grid. With each spin, the Wilds will move to a different spot on the reels. The Ornament Bomb counter will be paused during the round.
Summary
Take Santa’s Shop is a really bombastic release which gives us a fun take on the pretty common seasonal theme. Design-wise, Betsoft’s games always look great, and feature-wise, we liked what it has to offer. The added bonus goes to the Buy-In feature button that helps you enter the bonus round whenever you feel like it. Give it a couple of spins, and let us know what think of it.
Take Santa's shop was most probably the Christmas edition from Betsoft gaming released sometime last year in December, which was a clone of the Take the bank slot from them based on a thief theme of guys robbing the bank.
The slot has 5 reels, 4 rows, and 75 paylines. Yes, you can spin this slot for a minimum of 0.20 cents, but do not let that fool you as the paytable is extremely poor and low. I am sure 5 of a kind with highest paid symbols pays x5, but with more win lines I guess it can give something decent.
On the reels, it's all Christmas-related items with the green tree filling surrounding the symbols, but still, a thief trying to rob Santa's shop. This thief where Christmas clothes and acts wild when landing on the reels, after several spins, as they need to activate every 10 spins.
So how this game work, during 10 normal spins you collect Thief symbols which stay on the reels, once you reach spin 10 all those thief symbols turn into wild, and pays are rewarded. Not a lot of players are into Betsoft, so this is like Bronco Spirit from Pragmatic play, it plays exactly the same.
Landing 3 scatter symbols on reels 2, 3, and 4 will trigger the free spins feature. Now randomly the game decides how many wilds get to be activated during free spins and the number of free spins. I think you should be able to choose for yourself.
During free spins, a set number of wilds are added to the reels, and they flat around until the free spins round comes to end. I have noticed that when you buy the free spins feature, you then get to choose your number of free spins together with your wilds. So you can pay anything between x50 up to almost 100x if you choose many wilds on the reels with fewer spins. Not sure why the normal base game trigger does not give this option either.
I am not a fan of slots with these types of setups, but sometimes you play what you get, especially when there are freebies on a boring day and Betsoft slots are the only provider.
