A slot from Microgaming and based on a dogs at a poker game theme. You can play it for as little as 0.01 per spin and the slot comes with 5 reels, 3 rows and 15 adjustable paylines. You can also of course set your bet per line to more suit your balance budget.
Since this is a dogs and poker theme you will see many breeds of dogs as symbols and also poker type theme symbols as well. Surprising instead of including the standard playing card symbols that you see on many slots here all the symbols on the reels are the dogs and some poker related items.
The dogs include a German shepherd, English bulldog, chihuahua, dachshund, some kind of shaggy dog. The items on the reels are dog collar, bowl with treats, poker chips and cards.
The bonus feature is triggered by getting 3 or more scatters appearing from left to right but must be adjacent. One nice thing about the slot is that the wild also substitutes for scatters thus getting a 5 scatter on this game is not as rare as on other slots and I was able to get this feat a number of times which is one of the reasons it was one of my regularly played slots. By the way 5 scatters pays 100x your bet. The bonus feature is not a free spins type but a bonus game where you select from the dogs on the screen and each one has a money value at random. The music and the sound for the slot are quite suitable I would say adding a nice touch to the theme.
What is also great about this slot is that while the bonus is a bonus, the base game can also pay good and not just from the scatters. Average features are around 30x Bet while the best one has been around 137x. A few other times above 100x. While nothing in the thousand times category this slot still provides good slotting entertainment. If you can still find it somewhere then play it while you can. Just to experience the older style of slotting back when it was much simpler.

DISLIKED

The RTP is just under 96% on 95.83%. I can’t say much is not to like about this slot as I enjoyed playing it on many occasions. Perhaps it could be said that there won’t be any wins of several thousand x Bet that you would find in more modern slot, this slot is one of the older types, and was released back in 2008.

John Travolta had his fun nite out in Saturday Night Fever, the ladies had their wild time too in the game Ladies Nite, so now it's time for Spike to go out and have some wild fun out playing poker with his friends. Only thing is, Spike is a dog. So, like it or not, you have to imagine some dogs having a poker game amongst friends. One bark would mean 'call', two barks would mean 'I'm out', a twist or two of the hoof would mean '1 card' or '2 cards', and so on. Some wild winks at the Chihuahua waitress would mean 'how about a date, darling?', or something like that. Hmm, the dogs are playing poker and my mind is going way yonder, hahaha.

The logo 'Spike's Nite Out' is the Wild symbol, paying a marvelous 15,000x the line bet for 5 of them. Woof! Woof! That means 'get them!' The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols, but doesn't double any wins with it, doesn't become stacked or expanded, and is therefore a dumb Wild symbol nonetheless. 'Doggy Time' is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pays the usual 100x total bet amount, and getting 3 or more adjacent Scatter symbols trigger the Bonus Feature game. As for the other symbols, the Banker pays 5000x, the Chihuahua Waitress pays 3000x, combination of Banker + Waitress pays 2500x, and the others pay from 2000x to 60x, all per line bet for 5 of each kind. Wow, a very nice very good paytable, for once.

In the Bonus Feature game, there are 6 dogs at the poker table, and you get up to 6 picks to win cash prizes. A card with an 'Extra Pick' awards one more pick. A card with only a cash prize amount ends the game. The maximum possible win is 6750 coins, or 450x the total bet amount, which is not bad at all for a bonus game. Other bonus games tend to pay within the range of 20x to 50x the total bet amount, but there's always the Free Spins game to get additional wins from. Not in Spike's Nite Out. There aren't any free spins in the game, which is a sore point for me. The best possible win has to come from getting 5 Wild symbols, for a 1000x total bet win, and that's about it.

DISLIKED

What is disappointing to me is the fact that a game with a very good paytable, such as this Spike's Nite Out game, cannot produce or create much bigger wins than just 1000x the total bet amount. Had there been a Free Spins game provision, that could break this barrier, for at least a 2000x or a 3000x the total bet amount win, but I guess Microgaming just doesn't want this to happen. My best win so far was only 53x my bet amount, damn far less than the 450x possible. What the argh!

Spikes Nite out it is video slot which created by Microgaming, and this game was tried by me recently at 32red casino, as a part of my test of all Microgaming games.

Game looks okay, it has poker theme, but I am not big fan of poker games, so it does not mean for me anything. Nothing interesting to describe, very usual game design for Microgaming, which is I think better than many other software. Also there is 15 paylines.

While checking paytable I was quite surprised about payouts. My attention was paid to wild symbol, which for 5 of a kind pays exactly 1.000 x total bet. This is great potential, and getting 5 wilds should be a lot of money on any bet size, and of course a lot of adrenaline. By the way while making my usual 100 autospin I hit 3 wilds :) My heart of course was frozen for a second, and I just realize that there is no miracle for me, just 3. But still paid about 50 x total bet, so not that bad. Unfortunately wilds on this game does not have any multiplier or extra feature, but I think to be honest I need to say that such great payout for 5 wilds compensate this, no problem for me and no complaints for me about this.

Also there is only one feature at this slot game, and quite unusually to know that is not freespins. It is just pick bonus game, which triggered by 3 or more bonus games. Have it 2 times during my 100 spins. First time it paid 15 x total bet, and second time it paid me 40 x total bet. Not bad per my opinion, and still this prize can be even more bigger.

Well, I like this game, and I am think I will play this game again in future.

DISLIKED

Freespins is really what I missed when played this game.

Wow! What can I say? This was one of the first games that I have played online and I fell in love with it almost immediately. When I started playing online I had no clue about changing bets or lines. So when I opened this game on Ladbrokes it started the bet at €1 and I thought that that was the only way to play. So I stated spinning, but not noticing any wins. I had around €20 at the start and after about five or ten spins looked at my balance to find it showing €513. I was shocked and opened the pay table to see what happened. I realized then that I got five of a kind of the highest paying symbols, and was stunned with my luck. Since then I give this game a shot any time I can and try to stick to the same bet of €1. So far I had some amazing line hits and very enjoyable feature.

The feature in this game is really cool and the symbols mix with wilds to give the player more chances of winning. I had times when I got three or four wilds from left to right, which apart from paying lots also awarded the feature.

The bonus is a picking game and I like that a lot. It is not that hard to pick all of the dogs here and I am sure most that played this game have managed to do so.

DISLIKED

There is not much bad that I can say about this game. It would have been a bit better if the game had more lines. There are times when I get good symbols but not on a pay line and I know that if this game had 25 lines then I would have got that win. Another thing that would have made this game even better would have been free spins. It would have been nice to get the bonus in free spins or hit a good line hit with a multiplier.

Over all one of my favorite games and a must try for all. My rating 9 out of 10.

Yes finally, I was waiting for this video slot to appear because it's one of those video slots that stand out to be one of the best paying out types and a true classic on my list....it's just like the cool painting of Dogs playing Poker! Who's a good boy and who's got the Royal Flush in their paws? Spike's Nite out is kind of similar to the alternate video slot "Alley Cats" but with more paylines. 15 paylines to be precise!

To get the bonus round they made it a bit easier unlike Alley Cats. They not only allow the Doggy Time sign scatters but they also included the Spike's Nite Out Wild logo to chain the left to right scatters together. 3 of any of these symbols whether the Wild and/or the real scatters, either way goes the bonus is yours! It's so great to make decisions until the Dog that isn't bluff hands me a big cash prize! I collected around $85 for my 5 coin triggering bet! It's just so awesome to flawlessly end the round after all the right picks! So impressive for a 15 paylines slot! I can see why free spins aren't even needed here! It pays a smackful! It's also an achievement to collect 5 Dogs in a blue background for $50 for 5 coins! My second highest has be 5 dogs holding an Ace. The other dogs are still waiting for me to be found on this Poker style video slot!

DISLIKED

There is but one negative comment I have for Spike's Nite Out! Okay so the only thing I don't like to see is if I choose the Canine with the biggest cash amount on my first pick. It basically ends the bonus round and I don't get another crack at picking another dog. The dogs that bluff are the ones that hold smaller but good credits so these are the ones to get first while having to pick again and one dog that ends the bonus round with a handful of cash!
