Perhaps some of you who read my thoughts about Rival classic slots already know that I’m a big fan of these products so I think I’m a bit of biased with them in a positive way but I promise I’ll try to be as objective as I can when I share my impressions of Sevens and Bars machine. The design of the game is the well-known Rival displaying practice where everything is well-organized, visible, readable and free from any glittering or surprising pictorial solutions. The graphics are not so great and I think the creators should have chosen other colour tints for background because this powerful colours are just getting eye-bothering the longer we spend our time with the game. Besides the name giving very traditional symbols we can see diamonds on the reels, too but I find a little bit far-fetched idea that the best paying symbol contains all of the three playing figures. We aren’t children so we don’t need such emphasized illustrations to distinguish the Jackpot icons. So overall, I don’t think it would be the best interface what Rival ever made for a slot machine but with all of its shortcomings it still remains a playable surface but not as nice as it could be.
The game can be played with stakes between €0.10-€10 and the number of used coins can be varied between 1, 2 or 3. Naturally, to win the Jackpot of the game which is 2500 coins, we have to use the maximum number of coins but because of the available lower bets it can’t be a problem at all. I usually play this slot with just €0.75 or €1.50 because I experienced the slot can be rewarding with these stakes and lowering or raising the bets wouldn’t cause and remarkable differences in winning tendency. The game has some special rules in favor of players as we can collect bigger wins if three 7’s become visible on the payline and they have different colours, then the won amount is tripled but if they arrive to the reels in red, white and blue order starting from the leftmost reels the prize is multiplied by x5.
The Diamond symbol can do that little trick to return the placed stake if it appears alone on any reels but somehow this not too often happens so I can’t advise to use this game for bonus wagering purposes.
The winnings and payouts are very average and sadly I don’t really meet here with those great qualities the other classic machines offer at this platform. There are long losing streaks when not just the bigger wins don’t come but the smaller ones also avoid the payline and I don’t know punctual what is the average payback ratio of the game but it doesn’t seem that this product works with player-friendly values.
Unfortunately, this game became a disappointment for me and it doesn’t fall into that category what I consider a good classic product. Neither the game segments nor the displaying qualities contain any attractive elements for me so I have to say we can find much better games in the series to spend our times with and getting some entertaining sessions or occasionally memorable moments and winnings.
