I always labeled EGT as the developer of very great looking fruit slots (I wish I could say similar positive things about functions and features of that games) but with Royal Secret they proved they can make slots around very different theme with that high quality graphics too. This slot really has a wonderful graphics and all of the illustrations of knight, king, princess, crown, castle pictograms are simple superb. The little decoration motives are placed in proper places on the screen, the half-transparent silhouette of a castle in the background is so nice and overall the whole arrangement of the interface and the fine job they did with it are remarkable so hats off to creators for this marvelous work.

My problems with EGT products were never related to appearance much rather to game segments. Generally most of them have such poor quality that sometimes it’s really questionable why does it make sense to assign them to the games or just the opposite why the game doesn’t have this or that kind of feature. Sadly there are some issues here too which seem to be real problems. For example the slot doesn’t offer any free spin or bonus feature which is a really big disadvantage and seriously ruin the overall gaming experience. I will never understand how it’s possible to release a game without these kinds of extras. The other thing that bothers me and which is an EGT’s specificity is the limit of using the gambling feature. If we win more than 35 times of total bet simply we’re excluded to play this feature. Inexplicable!

If I want to concentrate on the positive things at least we’ve got the opportunity for winning the 4 level mystery Jackpot which is also available here (it is triggered randomly then we get 12 cards and have to pick from them until 3 identical are selected) but 5000 coins is the own Jackpot of the game which is the gift of the best paying 5 of kind line win.

The slot offers not just one but two different kind of Scatters from which the Key scatter works by normal conditions and can pay up to 100 times of total bet while Crown scatter only appears on the first, third and fifth reels and if it happens at the same time it rewards us with an instant cash prize of 4 times of total stake. Unfortunately, the most important special icon, the Wild has the most restrictions as it can arrive to the 3 middle reels without any paying or win multiplying ability.

No matter how much I appreciate the appearance of the slot and find it very, very impressive but the lot of limitations and the missing features are still too important to ignore. It’s simply just a poor paying product with very limited options to win and that’s why I just can’t enjoy playing this game and don’t see the real potential for good, profitable playing sessions. It’s a shame because in my opinion the slot doesn’t reach that level that could be called ‘mediocre’ but the interface would deserve much more respect and definitely a much better working gaming system.
