Summary
Raven’s Eye is not only visually great looking slot, but it is also fun to play despite it being the medium variance slot game. Thunderkick is famous for creating slot games with outstanding visuals, interesting themes, innovative features and amazing gameplay mechanics which kind of grew on us. The only thing that Raven’s Eye slot lacks unlike their other games is the payout potential, but that does not mean that you should not give it a shot.
There was a time some years ago when I really enjoyed playing Thunderkick’s games. That was way back when Fruit Warp was released and I simply loved playing it. In fact, I still enjoy playing it occasionally now. Then came a time when Thunderkick started releasing some horrible games instead and I soon stopped playing their games on a regular basis. One of those games is this Raven’s Eye game.
I have played it when it was newly released, but found the game to be unlike any other Thunderkick’s game. Raven’s Eye has a mixture of a few games combined into one, but as they say, ‘too many cooks spoil the soup’, and this is exactly the case in Raven’s Eye. The pay table is simply horrible, with almost extremely low win values for all the symbols, with the two highest paying symbols, the Wild and the Lady symbol, paying only 12.5x the bet amount. The other symbols pay from a mere 4x down to just 1x.
The Raven is a Stacked Mystery and Bonus symbol, needing the Raven symbols to land on any 3 reels to activate a Bonus game. The Raven symbols also transform into one regular symbol during play, and each Raven symbol awards 1 free Bonus Spin when they land on 3 or more reels. The number of free spins therefore depends on the number of Raven symbols on the 3 or more reels, but tends to award 9 Ravens most of the time.
During the Bonus game, each appearing Orb is collected into a meter, and when that meter is filled, it transforms that symbol into a Wild or into another higher regular symbol. Sounds familiar right? Yes, that makes it possible to get all same 20 symbols on the reels, but the very low win values of the symbols would hardly ever give any good wins! During my latest play session some months back, I managed to get 3 Bonus games, but only after many disappointing waiting moments, yet the Bonus games paid unbelievably low wins of 2x, 9x and 6x, in that order! That were simply atrocious payouts!
My very low best win of 36x came in the base game, not in the Bonus game, and with such horrible payout characteristics, I can safely say that this Raven’s Eye game is simply not worth playing at all, and is one of the worst game ever released by Thunderkick!
