Slot Features
This slot is packed with Multipliers, and besides that and a regular Wild symbol it can also boast with a Bonus feature.
Multiplier Wild
Multiplier Wild symbols appear anywhere on the reels and can substitute for all the symbols in the game except for the Bonus. If 2 or more Multiplier Wilds engage in forming a win, the Line Win multiplier will be awarded based on the number of symbols involved. Each Wild Multiplier symbol awards x1 multiplier for the win, thus for 5 Wilds on the reels you can win x5 multiplier.
Prime Zone Bonus Trigger
Bonus symbol will trigger the feature, and you will need at least 3 of them anywhere on the reels if you want this to happen. Once the feature is triggered, you will be awarded with 7 spins, and you will get tot choose 1 out of 4 Free Spin options before the spins start.
Option 1 is All-Win Multiplier with higher risk yet bigger win potential. In the second one All-Win Multiplier and Line-Win multiplier will get multiplied by 1 on reels one through three. The third option will get them multiplied by 4 on reels two through 4, and the last option will get them multiplied by 3 on reels three through five. The feature also has Mystery Shifting which will move Mystery Prime Zone between reels on each spin.
Summary
Prime Zone slot is highly volatile game which is playable across all platforms and looks good on any of them. Considering both visual and audio aspects, there’s no denying that the game looks great and sounds great, and it will surely draw you in. After a couple of spins you will be able to decide what you think of the game because it’s one of those that you will either love or hate, there’s no in between.
Remember the game Hot Sync from some years ago, also from Quickspin? Well, this Prime Zone is actually very similar to that game, more or less a clone of it, but with some slight variations in its gameplay and payout characteristics. The reels are not synced in Prime Zone, but 3 reels are selected to have 3 randomly placed Wild symbols in them, in 4 variations, and with different multipliers. Other than that, there aren’t any other special features, so this game may yet turn out to be one more boring game after some play!
What I do like about this game is that the starting bet is only 0.10 per spin, so that should provide a decent length of play time, albeit with only 10 paylines, but that’s okay. Getting 5 Wild symbols would pay only 100x the bet amount, whilst the other symbols would pay from 50x downwards. Getting a win with Wild symbols would multiply that win by the number of Wilds in that winning line, from 1x up to 5x. Nonetheless, quite a low paytable, especially for a 10 paylines game.
The 3 Bonus symbols are non-paying, serving only to activate 7 free spins, which are non-retriggerable unfortunately, but 4 different options are given to play the free spins. 3 adjacent reels would have 3 Wild symbols randomly positioned on the reels – reels 1+2+3 with 1x multiplier, reels 2+3+4 with 2x multiplier, reels 3+4+5 with 3x multiplier, or shifting reels, randomly selected from the 3 earlier options, but has up to 4x multiplier. Choose whichever one you like, but the 3x multiplier option would provide bigger wins, if and when that happens.
I have played that Hot Sync game before and I must admit that the game played well in the early stages, becoming quite horrible thereafter. Needless to say, I was expecting a similar performance from this Prime Zone game, and I was indeed not far wrong from it! Prime Zone gave me some interesting wins in the early stages of play from the free spins, although those wins weren’t really decent or big wins. As I kept on going, the daylight soon turned into darkness, as expected, and I almost lost all of my credits before finally deciding to quit. Yeah, if I had kept on going, I would most probably have ended up with a zero balance! This is one of the reasons why I have never liked any of Quickspin’s games, and Prime Zone is included!
