Pretty Kitty is another video slot game from Microgaming that I have played recently. I had a great time playing this slot. The main theme revolves around cats and the symbols that are used in this exact game are really cute I must say. I had some good line hits when I played this slot thanks to the stacked symbols. At the very beginning of my session I managed to get the first 3 reels covered with the white Persian cat and I won 24,30 euros on 0.90 euros bet. Later I got the first 2 reels covered with the brown cat a wild on the third reel and again the whole fourth reel covered with the brown cat and I won 25 x bet win from this.

Pretty Kitty is a 5 reels and 243 ways to win video slot game. The game can be really generous. I had some ups and downs during my session but that was because I was chasing the feature. Whenever I got a feeling that I will trigger the free spins I would raise my bet and at that point I was not getting anything so my balance was going down. So in general this was a very long and painful session. But somehow I managed to get what I wanted. I got 3 diamond collar scatters and I got 15 free spins. I won 90 euros from this feature so I think that it was worth the trouble. This feature is very powerful though but I was not that lucky. Namely, if a stack symbol appears on the first reel, then all the matching high value symbols expand. This could be mind blowing but it did not happen to me.

Pretty Kitty is a game I discovered very recently. I was playing at Slotjoint casino and noticed the game in their new game section and it attracted me for many reasons. First of all it is a game from Microgaming and I really like most of their games and secondly I am a cat person, so I was very interested in how they would design the game.

So the name really speaks about the game itself, it is inspired by cat theme and there are cat symbols and jewels. The design is pretty but nothing too special, to be honest, it doesn't look unique in my opinion. Technically the game has 5 reels and 243 ways to win, which makes the minimum bets 0.30€ per spin. I had around 50€ balance when I started to play this game and I was really interested in the expanding symbols feature. When there's a fully stacked cat symbol on reel one and it is in a winning combination, it expands the matching cat symbols. I do like that and I think it is interesting. That being said, after playing over 500 spins on the game, it made me very disappointed. Not even once in my session I actually managed to get the expanding feature in base game and the payouts in general are really low. I mean, 5 wilds only pay 4x bet and 5 scatters 100x bet, which is really low comparing to other online slots.

Also the game has a free spins round but I think it is quite hard to get. I had them two times within my session and I think that the fact that if you have a stacked wild on reel one it can expand other wilds, in a winning combination, is a really nice quality. It's my favorite thing about this game because my biggest win comes from this feature- and it's sad to say but my biggest win thus far has been 30x bet.

Overall this is a very average game with low payouts. Design is average and predictable, the free spins feature has some winning potential due to the expanding feature, but the symbols in general have really low payouts and free spins have no multiplier. I lost all my balance playing this game and got only once a 30x bet winning, while in base game I couldn't even get a win over 10x bet. This game is definitely not for my taste and I won't be playing it again.

As huge animal lover, I always like to see animal-themed slots. I love these creatures way too much and I lost my dearest a year ago. This slot reminds me of my kitty Mici and that makes me feel very sad. At first sight, I didn't realise it's a 5-reels, 243-paylines video slot. I am not sure why Microgaming would come up with a 243 ways video slot if not only to eat players money, because this game isn't designated to produce any significant wins. So disappointing, and Microgaming tend to keep this negative trend big time.

The minimum starting bet is 0.30 cents and that would be my standard stake when playing with 243 ways slots. But if I make it to double up my balance, I would up my stakes even to 5 Euros per spin when I feel crazy enough, but it will never happen if I ever touch this game again. It's really fun to see this kittens all over your screen but then that's the most you can expect, to have fun and leave. Most likely it's an insane hard job to make some money here.

Getting five of a kind of the most valuable symbol would pay you only 1 Euro on minimum bet, which is 3.3x your stake. Pathetic, don't you agree with me? Can you believe this? I know it's hard to believe and it's truly shocking. What is the problem? Did Microgaming lost mind or this is a part of some business strategy? I really don't know what they may be thinking but we are not idiots.

Unfortunately, I didn't trigger any free spins in my play session. The base game itself wasn't much fun because there wasn't anything exciting that my happen in there. My wins were lower than my bets, so now imagine how things looked for me. If you want to play only for fun, then give it a try, otherwise, I am not sure if it's worth your time and money.

This game has two different expanding symbols features. Into base game any full symbol stack on reel 1 expands all matching high symbols on the remaining reels. During free spins there are also wilds which can expand. I think those features are set good, I had it a few times during base game and most of the time it pay out quite decent. My best result here was almost a full screen of some cat symbol and the winnings were a little under x100 my bet.
Otherwise you can also get some free spins here. 3, 4 or 5 scatters triggers 15 free spins, during this feature wild is stacked on first reel. Beside that you can also retriggered free spins.

I triggered twice free spins, but I never won more than x100 bet from them. Afterall I think this is a quite good game from Microgaming. But the payouts could or should be better. Free spins are interesting for me because there are also wilds which can expand. While I was playing it I miss some multipliers during free spins. I think if there would be some random multipliers up to x3, at least, this game would be much better than it is now. The payouts during main game are mostly small, you can get some higher winnings only if you get a full screen of same symbol. But I do not think this happen so often at it. I will rate it with 7 out of 10 possible stars, here at Askgamblers.

But it so happened that I was so bored on that particular day, and I was looking for something new to play, so I said "oh, what the heck, let's give these kitties some play". Poor kitties, how dastardly poorly Microgaming has evaluated and looked up upon them! A Collar Lace is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pay 100x the total bet, again very lowly. 3, 4 or 5 Scatters award 15 free spins without any multiplier, but more free spins can be retriggered. Hmm, true or not has yet to be seen. The White Kitty, the highest paying normal symbol, pays 3.3x the total bet for 5 of them, and comes Stacked on all 5 reels. All other kitties and other symbols pay from 2.6x down to 1x the total bet. Sheesh, talk about an incredibly low paytable, this one is even lower than that of another new game, The Wild Chase! Any lower and the best Limbo dancer will definitely fall flat onto the floor!

In the base game, any fully Stacked Kitty symbol appearing on reel 1 would transform the same Kitty symbol on other reels into Expanded Kitty symbols, but only if they are a part of a winning line. During free spins, any Wilds on other reels become Expanded too, and the Wild symbol comes fully Stacked on reel 1 as well, providing good chances for all-of-a-kind wins. As good as that may sound, all-of-a-kind win in this game does not pay a lot! All-of-a-kind of the White Kitty, for example, would only pay 801.9x the total bet, and that is the biggest possible single win in this game. All Wilds would pay 972x the total bet, but I really doubt it would be possible to get all Wilds in this case.

Having said all that, the game itself proves to be quite fun to play, providing extended playing times most of the time, but dry runs simply cannot be avoided. So you need to stay alert all the time and watch over your credit balance regularly, otherwise you would soon see that it's eating time but too late to do anything. Small wins can be expected, but don't chase any big wins, because this game just isn't designed for it. If you want 'bigger' wins, then you'll have to play with bigger bets, with bigger risks of course. My best win so far? Would you believe 216x my total bet? Yep! I got that win by getting a Kitty on all 5 reels, when I was away from my laptop! Damn...missed seeing it happened!

If only the paytable wasn't as damn low as it is now, then Pretty Kitty may even be one of the good games to come out from Microgaming, but I guess this has never been Microgaming's main intention! Too bad, too sad. Yet again, we all have probably been had!
