The main symbols of the game are the wild which is Tony and the scatter which is naturally a Pizza. The wild symbol substitutes for all other symbols except the scatter and has a doubling function whenever he is in a winning combination. For 5 of these chubby guys on the screen you get a 10 000 x betline win. The scatter symbol triggers the free spins when you get 3 or more of them anywhere on the reels you are awarded with 15 free spins and all prizes are doubled. The free spins can’t be retriggered but instead you have a chance to win more free spins in the bonus. On top of every reel there is an oven and when a scattered pizza lands you win some prize. The first 3 ovens award cash prizes or wild symbols with an option for an entire third wild reel, while the fourth awards a win multiplier of x4, x5 or x8 and the last one awards free spins. If there’s a slot game at NextGen’s repertoire that can increase your appetite it’s definitely Pizza Prize. This slot of course is about the famous and maybe the most characteristic Italian food and almost all of the symbols we can see here naturally are the most important components of it. Onion, tomato, sausage, pizza dough but even pizza boy got an own part at this slot and I think the ketchup was a little bit hard to illustrate for the creators and that’s why it wasn’t displayed as icon. The graphics are a little bit better than average and I always thought there are games where the background music plays a very important part to create a more authentic and enjoyable gaming experience and Pizza Prize is surely such game but surprisingly the accompanying melody is not the most typical what I could imagine for this slot. For example the intro music would be much more fit to a French themed slot as it has chanson like chords. But if a game’s biggest problem would be only the proper chosen background sounds probably we never play with a bad game.

Seemingly the game has good qualities at game segment and examining the paytable it just strengthen this theory but the overall picture is not that clean. The slot offers 10.000 coins to be won by the best line win if 5 Wild emblems appear on an active line and this Tony character can also substitutes for other symbols with win doubling paying quality. Pizza serves the game as Scatter and can pay up to 100 times of total bet and also got free spin triggering function if at least can become visible during normal game mode.

The most interesting part of the game without question is this session where in normal situation we’re rewarded with 15 free games where the wins are calculated by x 2 multiplier. During this stage every reel got a pizza oven on top of them and every time a Pizza symbol pop up on a reel the oven is opened and reveal a little bonus prize. This award is different by reels and it can be an instant cash prize, an added Wild symbol, an expanded Wild reel, further free spins or what I appreciate the most an additional multiplier value that can be from x 4 - x 8. Even if it is valid for just that spin but the x8 multiplier really can some wonder if the other symbols are the right ones. Maybe once or two occasions I got that multiplier and always resulted nice winnings and I just wished if only this little extra feature was in use for the entire free spin feature.

All in all, it’s a very decent product where I think the game segment has better qualities what the pictorial solutions can give but honestly there’s no real problem with any major part of the game. Maybe the payout tendency during base game can be more player-friendly and the bigger ones also can be happened more frequently but otherwise this 20-payline slot is an example how a modern slot game should be to be considered an ordinary or a little bit better than average product.

The game play is very weird and sometimes gives me a headache. The reels stop in a way that makes you thing you got pictures that then go out of view. I thought I got the feature symbols many times before, and when the reels stopped they were out of view. It took me a while to get used to it, but I still get fooled sometimes.

The pays in this game are ok and if you get few wilds you can get a good win. The theme is pizza and I love it. Everybody loves pizza so how could you not play this game. Every time I play it i want pizza and sometimes I actually get pizza and have it while I gamble :)

There is only one feature in this game and that is a free spins feature. To get it I had to get three or more scatters anywhere on the reels. I got this feature a couple of times and once it was good but the other two times it was very bad. When you get the scatters you get 1 free spins with ovens on top of the reels. Each reel has an oven and every time scatter lands on the reel, that reel awards it with a prize. Could be anything, cash, free spins, wild or a multiplier. Once on a bet of €0.25 I played 25 games and won over €30. The other two times I played 15 spins and won less than €10.

Over all the game has potential and best way to win big would be to bet big. The feature can take time to come out and can be very disappointing. The graphics are ok and my rating for this game would be 5 out of 10.
