If I’m not mistaken, this Pixie Wings game came out first before Wild Pixies, both from Pragmatic Play. Not that it makes any difference whatsoever, but from what I could see then and now, Wild Pixies is a much faraway better game! When I first looked at Pixie Wings, it looked nice and interesting, but after looking into its symbols win values, I simply shook my head in total disbelief!

In all truth and honesty, I have never seen anything lower than the win values in Pixie Wings – 5 Wilds paying 10x the total bet, Scatter/Bonus symbols are non-paying, and the topmost regular symbol paying an unbelievable and ridiculously low win of just 1.5x! What about the lowest symbol (the symbol 10) then, you may ask? Well, that would pay 0.24x the total bet, or better still, getting all 20 symbols of the ‘10’ would pay a blardy low 12x the total bet! Getting all 20 symbols of the topmost male Pixie would pay a damn lousy 75x win, and on 50 paylines too!

No wonder I shook my head in disbelief when I saw those values! Why Pragmatic Play set the paytable in such a way is beyond my understanding! Perhaps they wanted a game that could produce lots of small wins frequently, for punters to see lots of same symbols appearing on the reels (which somehow seem to excite these players), and also because it seems that most punters love it this way. Well, definitely not me, never me!

The features in this game do not excite me at all, if I may say so. Why? Simply because the Bonus symbols that trigger the free spins feature game do not pay anything, the free spins only have 5, 7, 9 or 11 free spins, all without any win multipliers, and cannot even be retriggered, or even offer extra free spins during its play. All are definite minus points as far as I am concerned.

Okay, so playing this Pixie Wings game was quite interesting initially, it provided entertainment and fun, but after some time of getting unbelievably ridiculous low payouts, even with lots of same symbols on the reels, the excitement finally turned into pure disgust! Pixie Wings would have been slightly better if it plays with 243 ways to win and with just $0.30 starting bet – paying $0.50 per spin, with practically no hope of getting any 500x win, is absolutely rubbish and mind boggling, but then again, to each his/her own opinions and tastes of course.
