Pied Piper is one of the most recently released games from Quickspin, almost at the same time as with Mighty Arthur. I guess there's no need to explain who this Pied Piper is, or was, as we've all read about him during our schooling days. True or not, it doesn't really matter, so just regard it as yet another kid's tale, and one more kid's tale for adults play. Makes me wonder whether we are actually just merely grown up kids, or being treated as one! Hahaha.

The game plays with 40 paylines on a 5-reels 4-rows grid, but thankfully enough, the minimum starting bet is only 0.20, so that's a welcoming point for most players, including me of course. Yeah, the wins are cut by half too, but what to do? Hehehe. The Piper himself is a Walking Wild symbol when appearing fully stacked on a reel, but can only appear on reels 3, 4 or 5. Any Mouse Wilds on the reels would follow the Piper on his walk, just as in the tale itself. At the end of the Walking Piper Respin, but in the Free Spins game only, he may randomly re-appear on reel 5, to start his walk all over again, thereby giving 5 more additional respins. This re-appearing feature does not occur in the base game. I must admit that this Walking Piper Respins feature is better than Jack And The Beanstalk's Walking Wild, because you may get lots of Wilds walking and moving from left to right in this Piper's game! Interesting indeed, but not always fruitful, as I have found out.

Getting 3 Bonus symbols, which are non-paying, sadly, awards 10 free spins, without any multiplier, but with up to 6 additional Mouse Wild symbols randomly appearing anywhere on the reels for each and every free spin, providing more winning chances. But without any multiplier, those wins are usually not big enough for satisfaction - not to me at least. Additionally, the Walking Piper Respins can also be activated during any of the free spins, so again, creating even more winning chances. What makes for the disappointments, is the paytable itself. The Mouse Wilds pay 20x the total bet, the King pays 10x, the Queen pays 5x, and the others pay 3x to 1x, all per total bet for any 5 of them. 20x is the standard highest win value for a Wild symbol in any of Quickspin's games - you won't find a higher value than this.

Okay, so playing this Pied Piper game was quite fun and enjoyable, but without any Expanded Walking Wilds feature as in Jack's Free Spins game (Expanded Harp Wild Reels), the low payouts soon took my interest away. Yes, you may get up to 6 Mouse Wilds randomly appearing during the free spins, but I could only get 1 up to 4 Mouse Wilds at any time, and the best win I could get so far is only 150x my bet amount. Not too bad, but still way behind my satisfaction needs! Hehehe.
