Pandamania is a very fun and childish slot game coming from NextGen Gaming. There are a lot of slot games which for a theme have the Panda and some are quite fun to play. The game has an overall pleasant and funny design so you can spend a lot of time here having fun.

The main symbol of the game is the Panda which is a wild symbol here and substitutes for all other symbols except for the scatter and the pick me symbol. He also doubles a win when he substitutes on a winning payline and has a max win of 3 000 coins for 5 of them on a payline. The rest of the symbols in the game have a pretty low payout with the max only 500 coins. I really hate to see that in a game and I am always hoping for a better paytable.

This game offers 2 bonus features. The first is a cash bonus and is triggered when 3 pick me symbols land on the central reels. Then you choose one and can get a cash prize, pick again and win all. Similar to the Pegasus bonus in Medusa. You can have some nice wins here especially with 2 or 3 picks. On a good day you can have wins of 30 x bet easy, so this can be a nice balance booster. The second bonus this game offers is a free spins bonus. If you get 3 Pandamania symbols anywhere on the reels you get 10 free spins with doubled prizes. At first look it’s not much but you have a chance to win more wilds in the free spins because the escaped Panda feature appears more often. Here the panda drives across the reels and awards extra wilds. Overall you can have some descent wins in this bonus.

This game can award some nice wins. In one session I got two big wins of about 30 x bet in the pick me bonus very fast and a solid 80 x bet win in the free spins. A really fun slot to play.

PandaMania is a little zoo themed slot from NextGen and this product belongs to the category in my book where much more could have been brought out graphically from this subject. I would lie if I say I’m impressed by the appearance of the game. The used symbols are not attractive at all and the graphics quality is also questionable. If I was the creator I made the reel area transparent while in the background we can see more animals and even the symbols should illustrate different kind of animals (strange but there’s no any animal pictograms). I even could imagine a funny game where animal are portrayed in humorous ways. So it’s no wonder, that personally I’m not a fan of this appearance and definitely that’s not worth for me to return to this slot frequently.

The game section at this 25-payline slot sadly is not much better and even if it offers some expected features in my opinion they’re not that quality level they should be to consider the game as a real good one. Panda icon serves the game as Wild and doubles all wins while it’s substituting and has the power to give the best reward for a line win which is 3000 times of line bet but based on my experience it surprisingly rare times does its job and I would expect much more wins by the help of this pictogram. Perhaps, it’s not just me who recognized this not too player friendly behavior of Wild as it has an extra function as it has also an ability to pop up onto the reels to turn into Wild randomly chosen symbol or symbols.

Though the Scatter may reward us up to 100 times of total bet which is very average prize and triggers free spin feature but it happens so rare times that sometimes I tend to forget that this slot offers such kind of feature at all.So when 10 free games are awarded we can expect some good things especially with the assigned attribute that every win there are counted by doubled prize but not once happened when this feature was completed without any wins and I don’t mean here any remarkable wins but really I could win less than my total bet was at the triggering spin. I think this is unaccepted and the feature should reward us much better than this.

We have an additional chance to win some when three special Pick me symbols appear in the three inner reels at the same time. Then we have to choose one of them which reveals either an instant cash prize, gives another picking option or just simple give us all three prizes what they hide.

As you can see the features are there (and I even didn’t mention PandaMania also offers one of the best gambling secondary game in the business) so I wouldn’t have problem with them at all but my issues start with the qualities of them. I don’t believe they have good qualities and sometimes I even question their fair settings and overall I think they must have much better working scheme and rules. That’s why I can’t consider this product a great one and I think the creators should re-examine all of details and make the necessary fine tuning on them. So considering all of these, PandaMania is just another average slot in best case in my book and because NextGen really can offer for me much better options, I think I rather go with them than to play frequently at PandaMania.

It’s one of the recent releases from NextGen Gaming and they really took it to another level with this one. Not only is the theme quite amusing to watch, Pandamania is also well designed with multiple features and also some random element that come in quite regularly.

The theme of Pandamania focuses on a zoo with escaped pandas throwing some sort of party. The symbols include zoo tickets, ice creams, ice cream bike, kidnapped zoo employee, pandas (wild) and much more.

What I like a lot about this game is that it offers three type of features. On reels 2, 3 and 4 a Pick Me bonus symbol appears. You need all three of them to trigger this particular bonus feature. Although they only appear on those reels, I found them quite easy to trigger. I guess I just got lucky since I’ve been less successful with some other prominent NextGen Gaming games.

When you trigger that feature it lets you choose from one of the symbols which then reveals a prize, or better; reveal a prize + giving you another pick. Most I’ve won with this feature is 25x bet size. Most often it awards prizes between 5-15x bet size. Not sure what the max possible win is with this feature.

The other feature is the Panda Escape Bonus. Every time the panda appears on his bike he will turn a random symbol wild. This helps a lot since other wilds appear quite frequently as well. My best combo during the base game gave me a win of more than 30 euros. Good to know is that the wild symbol also doubles your wins if they are part of the payline.

Last but not least is the free spins feature. The Pandamania symbol is key to unlock 10 free spins with a 2x multiplier and a more frequent appearance of the Escaped Panda to turn symbols into wilds. I had the pleasure like 4 times to experience the feature.

Once got lucky hitting 140x bet size, but most often it pays around 20x bet though. You just have to get lucky to get a good payline with high symbols and wilds so you can profit from the multipliers. Overall a nice game which I will undoubtedly play again.

Sometimes during the Panda Escape Bonus it turned an already existing wild into a wild. No point in doing that, and it only angers the player. Certainly a point of attention for NextGen Gaming and many other software providers who like to "tease" or how I rather call it "annoy" the player.

There are a lot of new games released in the past few months and some of them are great but some of them are not. Pandamania is one of the great ones. At some online casinos the Netherlands is restricted to play but a few of them allowing us to play.

I have lost about 40 euro playing the game and I didn't regret it and I never will because I know some day this cute panda will give my money back with some winnings on the side :D
