Oceans Treasures is quite a new slot from Netent that was released earlier this year. In the past year or so I haven't been very excited about Netent releases but this one was something I was personally looking forward to. Reason behind that isn't the games design, which of course, by Netents usual standards is really nice, but I was more interested in the technical aspects of the game and their resemblance to Steam Tower slot. 

The game is inspired by ocean theme with an expanded wild symbol that looks like an ocean princess. The game also has 5 reels and 15 paylines and a free spins bonus round. This game really reminds me of Netent's older days as the game itself is very simple- there's no other bonus round than free spins and the scatters land on reels 1, 3 and 5 only. 

I've played this game many times now and it seems to be quite volatile. The base game can pay around 10x-40x bet but I personally haven't had a single win of 50x bet on base game. However, the free spins is a whole different story. You start with 10 free spins and same as with Steam Tower, on every spin, if you land a wild symbol, you get additional 2 spins. However, the difference is that here to level up you need to fill the multiplier meter- every 2 wilds (on separate spins unfortunately) will increase the multiplier. I really enjoy the bonus round as the multipliers can go quite high- from 3x, 5, 7x, 9x and so on. I haven't had higher multiplier than 9x but even then I managed to get a nice win over 100x bet. 

Overall this is a nice game to spend some time with, the base game is simple but design is beautiful, but more importantly, this game has potential. I haven't played it with higher than minimum stakes as it can be volatile, especially the base game and the free spins can take a while to trigger. But it's definitely one of my favorite Netent releases in over a year.

You have a regular wild and a stacked wild by the stacked wild hardly connects. With a free spins feature and multipliers and an instant x100 win for reaching a certain level is a good compilation that slots need.

the Norse mythology theme takes you under the ocean. With an inspiring and enchanting soundtrack, the reels are encased by warriors and octopus tentacles. Symbols include A, K, Q and J royals and you’ll also see keys, compasses, scrolls inside bottles as well as precious stones which are higher paying symbols. The trident symbol is the regular wild and appears in both the base game and free spins feature and substitute for everything except the scatters. There is also the stacked wild, represented by Sigyn the wife of Loki which only appears in the base game.

The free spins feature is triggered when you get 3 treasure chest scatter symbols anywhere on reels 1, 3 and 5 simultaneously. You are awarded with 10 spins and level one which are the following:

• Level 1: 3x multiplier
• Level 2: 5x multiplier
• Level 3: 7x multiplier
• Level 4: 9x multiplier
• Level 5: 12x multiplier

If 1 or more regular wilds appears on the reels during the feature, the free spins total increases by 2 and if you collect 2 wilds you upgrade to higher level. Once you reach level 5, you are awarded with x100 your total bet and the remaining spins are played at x12 multiplier.

I must admit, when in free spins symbols hardly connect, unless it’s the low J's and Q's which pays nothing really, but it’s a fun game and can bonus quickly at times. I would say this slot is good for wagering. I had a couple of x100 wins but nothing significant, like x1000 to go home with.

There’s not a lot of ocean-themed games out there, so this Ocean’s Treasure from NetEnt can be considered as a refresher for discerning players. However, there’s nothing new in the game design or concept, offering only a progressive free spins feature game, rising up to Level 5 for the best wins with a 12x multiplier. What I do like about this game is that its starting bet is only $0.15 per spin, reminding me of my all-time favourite games, Safari Heat and True Love, by Playtech.

Having said that, I was actually quite disappointed when I realised that both the Wild and Scatter symbols are non-paying, but the top regular symbol has a decent 100x total bet win for getting 5 of them. It would have made a bigger impact if the Wild symbols have a win value and a 2x multiplier, as in Safari Heat and True Love, but in doing so, NetEnt would not be keeping up with the current trend of lowish paytables. The non-paying Scatter symbols is also a turn off for me, as more winning chances would be omitted.

Being ocean-themed, the game is presented in a nice cool bluish presentation, very much like NetEnt’s earlier games like Subtopia, for example. The important thing is in keeping players focus on the top symbols in play, for clarity and distinction, so this is also nicely done in Ocean’s Treasure, albeit the lowish win values.

I gave this game several play sessions, inquisitive of its winning potentials, especially on how the free spins feature game would play and pay because the best possible wins can only be achieved in the top Level 5 free spins with its 12x multiplier. Level 1 starts with 10 free spins with a 3x multiplier, lower than what I would like it to be (15 free spins), so trying to progress up to the higher Levels proved to be very tedious indeed.

Sadly though, the few free spins feature games that I managed to get did not pay well at all, except only once when I did get a 77x win, but all others paid below 30x. Okay, so perhaps that wasn’t that bad after all, because I have not done that many spins on the game as yet, and I certainly have not reached that Level 5 free spins to see its true potentials. All I can say now is that there is potential for good wins from Ocean’s Treasure, but the real truth is yet to be discovered!

New NetEnt slots design is so beautiful. I like it all but RTP is not so good. I get many bonuses with too low wins like ten times by bet size... I do a lot of spins with hope to get something good but not happens.
