Why is this new Quickspin game entitled 'Northern Sky', when there's nothing in the game that relates to the sky in the Northern Hemisphere? Don't know what else to name it? Yeah, probably! Hehehe. The only thing that I can relate to the other side of my hemisphere, would be the animal, the stag. Every other animal in the game can be found everywhere else, so this game should have been more appropriately entitled 'Under The Sky' instead, hehehe.

Anyway, there is absolutely nothing new in this game, and there is absolutely nothing exciting at all either! The animal icons used in the game are crystallised symbols of each animal, perhaps for better visual and more colourful impact from its graphics, which would otherwise make this game looking like it came from years ago! It plays with only 9 paylines, but it charges you 0.10 EUR per spin, for each and every spin, so 0.01 EUR per spin goes into Quickspin wallet all for nothing! Sheesh!

With every winning combination of 3 or more symbols, a respin is awarded, until no new winning combination is achieved. Nothing new in that, right? Each time a Bonus symbol appears during a respin, it gets collected into a meter on the left of the playscreen. Getting 3 Bonus symbols collected would award 10 free spins, without any multiplier, but with only the high animal symbols in play. Still nothing new in that, right? Getting 3 Bonus symbols appearing simultaneously during base game play would also award the same Free Spins game, but honestly speaking, after many plays, I have yet to get 3 Bonus symbols appearing all at the same time during base game play! And worse still, the Free Spins game cannot be retriggered at all. So that sucks!

What else is new, or not new? For one thing, there is no WIld symbol in this game, and I simply hate any game that don't have any Wild symbols! Not only are the winning chances greatly reduced, but also the winning potentials too! Yes, there is a Bonus symbol in play, but it is really a dumb symbol that doesn't know how to pay! Hahaha. All payouts are therefore completely dependent on the win values of the regular symbols, from 40x total bet for the highest paying Stag symbol, down to just 1x total bet for the lowest symbol. All in all, a very low paytable!

The only thing that can keep interest in the game going, is the frequent Respins, which can occur often at the right times, but hard to come by during bad times. Nonetheless, I have yet to get any good win from this Northern Sky game, my best so far being only 72x total bet win, which is still way behind from being satisfactory. How high can the win go? Well, perhaps up to just 100x total bet win, maybe a little more, but never expect money to drop from the Northern Sky! Hahaha.
