Moonshine is Microgaming powered video slot with 5 reels and 25 pay-lines. This slot is inspired with the illegal alcohol from the South of the United States. Symbols are mainly theme-related and there is a lot of symbolism here. The reels cover up the whole screen so there is no background here. Before you start to moonshine, you should set your bets. By clicking on "+/-" you will set coins size which ranges from 0.01 to 1, and "Select Coins" is used to set the number of coins per line that you wish to bet. "Select Lines" will help you set the number of lines to bet, and "Max Bet" is used to set the maximum bet available. "Spin" will set the reels in motion, and "Autoplay" option is used to turn the reels without interruption for a chosen number of times.
Granny in a rocking chair is the Wild symbol in the game and it can substitute for all the symbols in the game except for the Scatter and Bonus symbols. Should you get lucky enough to hit 5 of these on any active pay-line, you will win 8000 coins.
Cop is the Scatter symbol, and it can form scatter wins. All of these wins are multiplied by the total bet, and these wins are added to pay-line wins.
Glass Jug is the Bonus symbol in the game if you land 5 or more of these you will start the Moonshine Bonus feature. In this feature you can win up to 18 spins at x4 multiplier. The number of spins depend on the number of symbols you land. You can win 3, 4 or 5 spins and all of them with x1 multiplier. However this is only the start. Once triggered you will get to open tiles in a grid. You can keep opening the tiles until you run into ‘start free spins feature’ tile. At that point all of your spins and multipliers revealed will be added together and the feature will start.

Moonshining, the term used to describe making alcohol drinks illegally. When the moon comes out, only the light from the moon lights up the darkness on the night, and the moonshiners get busy with their production line of making alcohol drinks without having any license to do so. Well, I first know of this term from watching American TV serials, so whenever the word moonshining is mentioned, I immediately think of this happening in the USA. Don't know if other countries elsewhere use the same terminology or not, but it doesn't matter really. Not the concern here anyway.
Looking at the icons used in this game, the American version immediately comes to my mind. There's the moonshiners, the Sheriff, and even a guardian...a grandma guardian! Oh boy! I just cannot imagine an old lady like that could be the guardian, whilst the rest of the family are busy moonshining. Well, perhaps that's how it was, or still is, in the USA. I don't know for sure. Anyway, the Grandma is the Wild symbol, 5 of her pays 8000x the line bet, and substitute for other symbols except for the Scatter and the Bonus symbols. It doesn't even double any wins with it, or become stacked, or become expanded, making it a true blue dumb Wild symbol. I hate these kind of Wilds, because they serve very little purpose in the game. The Sheriff is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pays a very low 60x the total bet amount, and getting 3 or more of these Scatters get you nothing extra, meaning, no Free Spins game.
The Bottle is the Bonus symbol, it doesn't pay anything for itself, dumb symbol, and getting 3, 4 or 5 of them triggers the Free Spins game, with 3, 4 or 5 initial free spins with a 1x multiplier. In the next screen, pick one block at a time to reveal free spins and multipliers, but getting a 'Start Free Spins Game' ends the picking. The Free Spins game cannot be retriggered. The other symbols in the game pay from a very low 500x to 40x the line bet amount for 5 of each kind. A low paytable, except for the value of the Wild symbol.
Well, there's nothing exciting about the graphics in the game. The icons are the same too, but the paytable is way too low for my liking. There aren't any other feature game, except for the Free Spins game, but this too hasn't shown any potential for good wins. I've had a zero payout for a 3 free spins game, a 1x and a 2x bet win for yet two more 3 free spins games, and the best that I've gotten so far was 96x my bet amount. Most of the payouts are within the range of 10x - 40x, with nothing more than that as far as my games are concerned..
