Ah yes, Miss Midas with the golden touch, turning everything she touches into gold, including people! Just imagine that! If everyone she comes into contact with is changed into gold, she'll be a very very lonely lady indeed! Hmm, maybe it's all a myth, or just a fairy tale, who knows. Whatever it is, who cares whether it's true or not. What I do care about is how this Miss Midas game can play and pay. Whether she can actually change all my nickel coins into gold coins. Nah, probably nothing more than just a dream too, a gamblers dream.

Miss Midas is the Wild symbol, appearing only on reel 3 in the base game, but can appear on on reels during the Free Spins game after transformation. 5 of her pays a very low 500x the line bet, she doesn't double any wins, she doesn't become stacked or expanded, and substitutes for other symbols except for the Scatter symbol. Yeah, she's dumb in the base game. The Castle is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pays 2500x the line bet, and getting 3, 4 or 5 of these Scatters trigger 15, 20 or 25 free spins game with no multiplier. Argh! The Free Spins game can be retriggered, if you can get it. I couldn't. The symbols in the game pay from 400x the line bet (Peacock) down to 5ox the line bet, for 5 of each kind. A very low paytable!

There's a SuperBet feature in this game which enhances the chances of more and bigger wins. When the feature is off, only the Peacock and the Throne symbols can be transformed into Wild symbols. Activating it to Level 2 would transform the Peacock, Throne, Fruits and Rose symbols into Wilds. However, this feature seems to be only useful during the Free Spins game, because you would need as many symbols to be transformed into Wilds, for the best wins possible. It is of very little use in the base game, as I found out after several long plays on this game.

Miss Midas Golden Touch Feature is the only interesting aspect in the game. She can turn adjacent high symbols into Wild symbols, if those symbols are within her reach. In the base game, this doesn't help much at all, because only a few symbols can be transformed. In the Free Spins game, this transformation can continue with each new Wild symbol created, provided there are adjacent high symbols to transform. This is where the biggest wins can come from, by getting 5 Wilds on the paylines, but 5 Wilds in this game do not pay a lot, and that is a very big disappointment. 5 Wilds on 3 paylines, for example, would only pay 1500x the line bet, which is even far below the usual 5000x the line bet win in other games!

The many long plays I had in the fun mode were not too bad. After a long dry run, the Free Spins games would come quite often, replenishing the fun money credits every now and then. Yep, as expected, it was easy to win in the fun mode. Playing with my real money was disastrous! Spin after spin after spin of nothingness, not even any small useless win! When Miss Midas does appear on the reel, 1, 2 or even 3 symbols would be transformed in Wilds, yet paying out nothing! Not just once but on many occasions, and that really sucks! The music is calm and relaxing so you can play long sessions here without getting bored. The slot play is slow itself so I sometimes end up playing here for hours. The main symbol of this slot is Miss Midas which is also a wild symbol here. The scatter symbol is a castle and a minimum 3 of these brings you 15 free spins. For 4 or 5 you get 20 or 25 free spins accordingly. Another main feature of this game is the superbet. This feature reminds me of other slots like Merlin’s Millions. In the superbet you can choose extra symbols that can turn to gold and accordingly to extra wild symbols. A full level of superbet doubles the minimum bet value so you are playing on a descent 0.50 bet. With this feature enabled if a wild symbol lands in the central reel he turns surrounding symbol like Peacock, Throne, Fruit and Rose to gold and extra wild symbols. In the free spins bonus the symbols turned into extra wilds can turn other surrounding symbols to extra wilds. This way you are looking at a lot of wilds on the reels.

This can be a very fun game to play with medium wins. The wild symbol comes very often so you can often have some nice wins.

Still I can’t say that I had some incredible big wins here because usually when you get lots of wilds on the last 4 reels on the first one you have poker symbols that pay little. That can be very frustrating over time.

Miss Midas is Wild here and I assume that she is a princess because certain symbols that she touches with her magic wand turn into Wilds. But to transform many more symbols into Wilds touching them with her magic wand some super bet has to be enabled, and you have to pay more for a game with 25 cents. The amount is equal to what you pay for the bet so the bet is 50 cents. This is a too big value to bring some use, just that you will have more Wilds. However these Wilds will not bring you what you paid in advance for them and a bigger bet mean just losses increased and that the game becomes nicer. Without this Super Bet, the game is boring, because when you have a Wild there is celebration, which means nearly never. In fact in the paytable it is said that when you pay the super-bet some symbols might turn into Wilds, but this is not guaranteed and this does not happen.

Therefore in terms of earnings this slot is weak. NexGen slots compensate these weak earnings with the beauty of the game and I must admit that the play here is really nice. 6 minor symbols and 4 major symbols bring a story that takes you on its wings having Miss Midas is in its center bringing from time to time more consistent wins. All my game I had just one win more consistent that I presented above.

There are of course also Free Games (15 Free Games) but wins are almost insignificant. Too many losses and too low value of the wins make from this slot an average game although there are also certain qualities of the game.

The amazing thing about the free spins is that any symbol that has been turned wild can in turn also transform other surrounding symbols wild (those appearing in the superbet). The result can be truly incredible as you see more and more wild symbols popping up on your screen. I managed to get win 125x bet so far as my best win.

All in all this game is one that is very suited for low rollers and people who want to have a long playtime without losing your bankroll in no time. I will definitely play this game again since I managed a decent profit of 100 euros.
