Slot Features
Wild symbol in the game is able to sub in for all the other symbols in the game to help form win combos, and the Scatters in the game will trigger Free Spins.
Nudging Mystery Stacks
Mystery Stacks will always nudge into full view and reveal the symbols of the same type. Mystery stacks land displaying a value between 2 and 5, and increase it by 1 for each row it nudges until it gets fully visible. The number displayed when the reels is covered will result in the number of symbols that each stack will reveal behind as a trail.
Mega Free Spins
Scatter symbol can be revealed after the Miner nudges reels and creates Mystery Stacks. With 2 or more Scatters Free Spins will be triggered and 6 spins awarded. With 2 Scatters you get 6 spins, and every additional Scatter awards an extra spin. Nudging Mystery Stacks will happen more frequently during Free Spins round than the base game.
However, if you get tired with waiting for the Free Spins round to get triggered, you can buy your way into the feature for the certain credits compensation by hitting the Buy Free Spins.
Summary
Mega Mine is another release from Relax Gaming’s kitchen that has design aspect nailed down to perfection. It does not come with anything you haven’t seen before, but that does not mean that the game is not entertaining and fun. Not only, fun, but also rewarding because it comes with x50000 the bet as max win cap wrapped in a package with high volatility and 96.15% RTP.
When I first looked at this Mega Mine game, I got a very mixed feeling of wanting to give the game a try or not. Why? Very simply because the maximum win is indicated as 50,000x the stake amount, and that literally means a very high volatility game. It also means that the base game would not play well most of the time and the mechanism would be more biased towards Bonus Buys. I hate buying bonuses because I would be spending 70x to 100x my bet amount in one go, so I would need to start playing with a much bigger balance, which I usually cannot afford to do so.
This is one odd game, to say the least, in the sense that the Scatter symbols can only appear from the Mystery symbols, whenever that Nudging Old Man icon appears on any of the reels. Otherwise, no Scatter symbol and no bonus game at all. That nudging symbol would fill up the entire reel and shows a number representing the number of symbols for that reel. Up to 8 same symbols can appear in any one reel, meaning, all 5 reels can end up with all same symbols for the biggest possible wins. Unfortunately though, there are no win multipliers in play, so no boosting up of any wins at all.
Wild symbols have no win value, does not double any win, and does not have a multiplier either, but can be fully stacked if appearing from a nudged reel, up to 8 Wilds in a reel. The game starts with only 32 paylines, but those nudged reels can provide up to 32,768 paylines, meaning, big wins can only be achieved with 3, 4 or all 5 nudged reels, without which, all wins would be small or mediocre at best.
True enough. After two separate playing sessions on this game, and losing both, I can say with great certainty that this game needs buying of those bonuses in order to get the better and bigger wins, or else suffer more losses in the base game. For a player like me, that is most unwelcoming and a great deterrent indeed, so I’ll be avoiding this game as much as possible.
