When I first looked at this Mega Mine game, I got a very mixed feeling of wanting to give the game a try or not. Why? Very simply because the maximum win is indicated as 50,000x the stake amount, and that literally means a very high volatility game. It also means that the base game would not play well most of the time and the mechanism would be more biased towards Bonus Buys. This is one odd game, to say the least, in the sense that the Scatter symbols can only appear from the Mystery symbols, whenever that Nudging Old Man icon appears on any of the reels. Otherwise, no Scatter symbol and no bonus game at all. That nudging symbol would fill up the entire reel and shows a number representing the number of symbols for that reel. Up to 8 same symbols can appear in any one reel, meaning, all 5 reels can end up with all same symbols for the biggest possible wins. Unfortunately though, there are no win multipliers in play, so no boosting up of any wins at all.

Wild symbols have no win value, does not double any win, and does not have a multiplier either, but can be fully stacked if appearing from a nudged reel, up to 8 Wilds in a reel. The game starts with only 32 paylines, but those nudged reels can provide up to 32,768 paylines, meaning, big wins can only be achieved with 3, 4 or all 5 nudged reels, without which, all wins would be small or mediocre at best.

True enough. After two separate playing sessions on this game, and losing both, I can say with great certainty that this game needs buying of those bonuses in order to get the better and bigger wins, or else suffer more losses in the base game. For a player like me, that is most unwelcoming and a great deterrent indeed, so I’ll be avoiding this game as much as possible.

So I would say free spins are triggered within 350 spins on average for me at least. After that, I got just tired of waiting for bonuses, as the base game does not pay much and is big.
