I noticed this game took a while longer than most games to load up, I don't know if that was just a one off but could well be a result of the super detailed graphics that Yggdrasil are getting well known for. Like their other games Magic Mushrooms looks fantastic especially if you have a high dot pitch screen to play on like an iPad or a 4K monitor. These games really deserve to be played at full screen to see them at their best.

Yggdrasil definitely seem mostly interested in creating games for true slot lovers, they don't seem interested in creating anything that isn't capable of a huge win, most of their games seem basically unique, and there are always a few tricks and surprises in store when trying one out for the first time. I was surprised to see on very rare occasions the wild added to the reels can actually become spreading wilds themselves, and although I didn't get a big multiplier on that spin I still received over 300x my stake, which gives you an idea of just how big a win this game can produce under the right circumstances. You don't see many games with 40 paylines that pay both ways either.

They tend to be fun, innovative and offer a fair share of playtime. Nobody wants to go broke within 20 minutes of playing. Something which happens too often when playing medium or high variance games from the big three software providers: NetEnt, Microgaming or Playtech.

Well not with Yggdrasil Games. Magic Mushrooms is another masterpiece in my opinion which has a lot to offer. The game has 5-reels, 40-paylines and an unusual slot format. Reel 1 and 5 only have 3 rows, while reel 2 and 4 have 4 rows and reel 5 has 5 rows. In addition, Magic Mushrooms is a both-ways video slot, which means it pays from left to right and right to left.

Also nice to see is that the order of spinning is different. First reels 1, 2 and 3, 4 stop and then eventually reel 5 drops. This makes the game more exciting since it could be a good hit or nothing.

The symbols of the Magic Mushroom video slot are decorated with several little creatures and of course also all kinds of mushrooms (wilds). I played this game mainly on minimum bets, but I must confess the base game was kind of disappointing. Hardly had any good wins during my play and I played this game very long.

Game has interesting feature, there is wilds on all 5 reels, but it is 3 different type of wilds. Reels 1 and 5 have usual wilds. 2 and 4 has multiplier wilds, multiplier can be up to 10x (wow, this is huge). And last wild is on reel 3, and it is spreading wild which make more wilds. Also at this slot is possible to trigger freespins 3+ scatters needed. By the way for 5 scatters player get 75 freespins(wow this is also huge). In freespins using different reel layout and there is more wilds during it.

I tried this game only once to be honest, it was at Guts casino, and I lost 30$ with 0.40$ bets on this slot, but this is due to variance of this slot, which is quite high here. But I liked this slot, and next time playing at Guts casino I will definitely give it another go.
