Lost Secret of Atlantis

I can't remember how long ago I first played this Lost Secret of Atlantis game from Rival, probably about 2 or 3 years ago, or more, but my first few plays on the game weren't that good at all, so I never did get to like it very much. At that time, this game wasn't performing satisfactorily for me, and it wasn't even in my list for more future plays. But recently, since being able to play at certain Rival casinos again, I began playing the games one at a time, refreshing back my rusty memories on them, but more importantly, to see how each game is performing after a few years of exposure in the gaming market. Lost Secret of Atlantis is one game that got better for me.

Unlike most of Rival's newer releases, this game plays with the standard 25 paylines, much to my liking. The Shark is the Wild symbol in the game, but it doesn't pay anything for itself. It appears only on reels 1, 2 and 3, expands into a Wild reel with any win, and multiplying that win by the number of Wild Reels, that is from 1x up to 3x. It also substitutes for other symbols except the Scatter and the Bonus symbols. The Submersible is the Scatter symbol, a dumb symbol sadly, but getting 3, 4 or 5 of them triggers 10, 20 or 75 free spins with all wins tripled, and more free spins can be retriggered. Nice! The Green Creature is the Bonus symbol, also another dumb symbol, but getting 3 or more of them triggers the Bonus Round, whereby you pick 1 of the 3 spheres to win a cash prize. As for the other symbols, the Ring pays 1000x, the Statue pays 500x, the Lady pays 400x, the Oxygen Tanks pay 350x, the Screen pays 120x, and the rest pay from 100x to 50x, all per line bet for getting 5 of each kind. A very low paytable, unfortunately.

Lost Secret of Atlantis is one of those few games that has a very low paytable but performs admirably well in actual play! I didn't realised this some years ago, but my recent plays got me quite surprised indeed. Yes, the game made my credit balance go like a yo-yo, up and down, down and up, but with occasional wins over my starting balance, which hardly ever happen with most other Rival games that I have played so far. Only now I realised that this game can give a good extended play time, and with a little bit of luck, may even make a decent win from the game. Don't expect to get any huge wins though, which the paytable may have great difficulties in providing.

The Bonus Rounds were also quite good, but those who know me well enough, would know that a 'pick-and-win' bonus game is never my favourite kind. However, the simple bonus game in Lost Secret of Atlantis offers either a 23x, 26x or a 30x total bet win, so that works well for keeping the credit balance steady and going. The Free Spins game, on the other hand, works in the other extreme. It can pay drastically poor with only a 1x total bet win, or pay nicely with 80x total bet wins and more, but it paid me around 45x my bet amount on average, which is pretty good. This is one Rival game I need to keep on playing in the future and aim for a bigger win, hehehe.

Naturally, the name of the game tells everything what we can expect here, what the theme of the game and what environment we play in. Usually I love this kind of ‘under the see’ games because I like the variety of symbols and there are really nice games out there around this subject but at this product somehow I don’t really like the used pictograms and I don’t feel they’re would be too attractive. The graphics of the game are OK, but because of the symbols didn’t get any separation markers or border squares and because of the transparent background image of the reel area sometimes the entire interface seems to me just like a colorful cavalcade. I think it should have been better if the background would be illustrated with some lighter colors which are less powerful or the icons would have any more recognizable silhouette. My other problem with the screen is the symbols are not too integrated and some of them really look strange when they arrive next to each other on the reels. The sharks, sea creature, fishes, statue, treasure, air dive tank, sonar are the playing emblems here and I can’t say they would be too fitting to each other. Overall, I’m not impressed by the interface of the game and however great the theme is, the visual work is not a good one at this game.

The slot is working with 25 paylines where we can place bets from €0.01-€0.25 per line and varies the used coins between 1-10. Though the game offers the principal features like Wild, free spins or bonus but I don’t see them as really good features and I also have some issues with the payouts too. The best 5 of a kind which is the Jackpot of the game is worth only 1000 coins and even though there’s a slim chance to multiply it I still consider this prize as a not too player-friendly award. I think we all agree with that statement that the Wild is the most important symbol during normal game mode. Though it doesn’t pay any by own and only appears on the first three reels but at least it comes in expanding format to the reels and the wins are multiplied by the number of appearing Wilds. I like here that this icon has a chance to pop up on the very first reels which is way better than if it would work on the three middle reels and I have no problem with its appearing tendency because relatively often show itself on the reels giving smaller wins.

From moneywise standpoint the free games session could be our No. 1 target as we’re not just awarded 10, 20 or even 75 free spins but all wins there are multiplied by 3 which is really great considering the not too good paying capability of simple winning combinations. Of course getting this extra session don’t guarantee automatically to win some real big prizes but thanks to the attached multiplier it always brings some potential and sometimes this side game really can be profitable and rewarding.

3 Sea Creature pictograms anywhere on the reels trigger bonus round which is not an exciting or interesting one as 3 secret spheres are shown and we have to select from them to reveal a cash prize. Most of the times this award doesn’t reach the 20-25 times of total bet plateau and it is activated so rare times so I barely could name this kind of side as a memorable one.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of the game partly the mentioned reasons and partly because I can’t feel myself well-entertained by this slot. The sessions usually turns into boring spins and the slot simple doesn’t possess the ability to be a real interesting and amusing gambling partner. This slot is no more than a very average product and even if the free spins segment’s sometimes promising but it should offer much more than that for me to be an every-day player here.

Unlike some of the other games I played this one looks a lot like some of the older Rival slot games. The theme here is the discovery of some hidden world in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. I like the theme and I have to admit that Rival is very skilled in choosing a theme for its games. The graphic and sound are good for a Rival slot.

Like many other slot games which I am used to in Rival this one also offers two features. The free spins bonus is activated when you get at least 3 scatter symbols with a submarine. During the free spins all wins are multiplied by 3. Depending on the number of scatter symbols you can win between 10 and 75 free spins. The second bonus is a classical pick up bonus. In this bonus you have 3 balls and by clicking on one of them you win some cash prize which is hiding under the ball. I played here for about 20 minutes on a 0.50 bet per spin. After the time spent here I was about 15 euros in plus.

The wild symbol in this game is the shark symbol. Whats interesting is that the wild symbols spreads over the entire reel. So without the bonus round you can still get some big wins. I had two. The first time I got about 15 euros when I got a wild symbol over the first and third reel. Later I got 30 euros and then the entire first 3 reels were wilds.

Lost Secret of Atlantis a 25-lined slot , I rarely play slots with 25 lines but I thought it would be interesting to try .I always liked to try those new games at casinos because I hope they will be generous at beginning to attract more players (that’s my opinion) .

So I started playing with 20$ , that’s not much but that was all I had .At beginning I started playing with 0.50$ per spin , I was only hoping for a few nice wins from bonus or free spins cause with that little bet u couldn’t win nice amount from a combination.

I like to play slow and careful it relaxes me and if I got some earnings that’s awesome , at the first I managed to win few spins of 0.50$-3$ and I continued like that , after some time I was still on those 20$ which I had when I started playing , I still didn’t want to raise , I was waiting to try features of this slot as Rival slots always have nice feature like Bonus and Free Spins and soon I managed to get into a Free Spins feature . I earned 16.70$ from 10 free spins I was lucky this time cause I god few wild icons and those bring me that money.

After that solid win , I tried to raise my bet to 2,5$ because this is 25 line slot but wasn’t smart choice cause I soon dropped again to 20$ which I had when started playing . I get my bet again to 0.5$ and played maybe 15 minutes more I was just messing around 20$ without bigger wins , I didn’t manage to enter into a bonus round which I expected from the beginning . All in all this slot is usual Rival slot .
