Jack O’Wild Review—Editor’s Impressions
Spooky themes and online slots go hand-in-hand, with scores of new titles popping up around Halloween. The latest addition to this expansive catalogue comes to us from Gamzix and serves up some excellent graphics, a spooky vibe, and features such as Free Spins and Expanding Wilds. Stroll down to the graveyard with us in this Jack O’Wild slot review, and let’s see what we find.
Jack O’Wild Slot Overview
The Jack O’Wild slot machine uses a 5x4 grid loaded with 20 slot paylines, but it’s what’s happening behind the reels that immediately grabs your attention. The moonlit backdrop depicts a grand but dilapidated church, with a graveyard sitting in front and beckoning unwitting souls inside. It’s static, but it’s very well designed and perfectly sets the scene.
The symbols also play their part and include a Crow, Oil Lamp, Ring, Headstone, Candles, and A-10 royals decorated in a fittingly cold and menacing style.
Jack O’Wild RTP, Payout, and Volatility
The Jack O’Wild RTP is set to a very respectable 96.02% and jumps slightly to 96.03% if you buy the feature for 100x the stake (not available in all jurisdictions or at all online casinos).
At 10,000x, the max win is also right on the money, although your chances of getting near this are slim, so keep that in mind.
Unfortunately, Gamzix doesn’t list the volatility, but based on our experiences with the slot demo of Jack O’Wild, it seems to be high.
Jack O’Wild Mobile
Most of what makes this slot great on desktop remains on mobile, but there are some tweaks. The graveyard disappears to accommodate smaller screens, with the grid fixed to the middle in front of the house and the winding stone path leading toward it. The game icons sit below the slot reels with a big spin button dead centre. We preferred the desktop experience, but this is still great for fans of mobile slots.
Jack O’Wild Graphics and Gaming Experience
Although the backdrop is static, it’s brilliantly illustrated. Once you add the on-reel graphics and the chilling audio, it creates an excellent package that’s perfect for a few Halloween spins. We had fun with the Jack O’Wild slot demo, and while we played on a brightly lit late-summer’s day, we expect this one will be perfect for those dark, dreary, autumnal nights.
Jack O’Wild Bonus Features
Jack O’Wild features an Expanding Wild bonus during both the Free Spins and the base game. Look out for the Expanding Wild symbol, as it can grow to fill the whole reel. It also leaves a multiplier of between x2 and x100, potentially triggering some of the game’s biggest payouts.
Jack O’Wild Free Spins Feature
Land three or more Scatters to unlock the Jack O’Wild Free Spins feature and receive three Free Spins. A multiplier of up to x100 is chosen at random before each spin, and the game also sends between five and 20 random Wilds your way.
It’s a beautifully chaotic feature played on the same eerie game grid, and it was easily the highlight of our time with this slot.

Where to Play Jack O’Wild Online
Gamzix is not as big or as widespread as some other developers covered in our slot reviews. This studio is making an impact, though, and there are an increasing number of Jack O’Wild slot sites out there as a result. Jack O’Wild Slot Summary
We’ve played a lot of horror and Halloween-themed video slots over the years. Some are forgotten about as soon as Halloween is over, while others leave a bigger impression and are enjoyed all year long. Jack O’Wild definitely deserves to be in the latter category. It nails the vibe better than most and doesn’t lean too much toward the cartoony or silly side of the season.
In combination with the Free Spins and Expanding Wilds, those eerie visuals provide an excellent gaming experience.
