There are a few improvements from the first version. The graphic is on a lot better level here and so are the animations. Finally they remembered to change the background music to something more cheerful so you won't fall asleep while playing the game. Here if you get 3 scatters you are awarded 10 free spins with all wins multiplied, 4 scatters bring you 15 free spins and 5 scatters will get you a nice 20 free spins.

The free spins can be re triggered and all wins are multiplied by 3. The wild symbol doesn’t activate the pick and win feature like in the older version but they come a lot more often and make more winning combinations. The minimum bet here is 0.25 so this game can be excellent for low rolling and boosting your balance. I have started playing this game a few time with a starting balance of 10 dollars and managed to work my way up to 100 or more. If the game is in a paying mood the free spins come often and can award wins of 100 x bet and more. In my last session I was playing in Vegas Winner and I made a deposit of 20 dollars. I started playing the game and got the free spins very soon. They paid about 8 dollars on my minimum bet. Half an hour later my balance was at 40. I started chasing a bonus on 0.50 bet. To be honest first part of this game is a bit better then sequel, but generally both two games are very similar, and both great, so I think it is just matter of everyone choices and where everyone is more lucky.

There is wilds with multiplier, which appears quite often, but never in paylines, so do not expect here 5 wilds on lines too easy, most times there is 2-3 and just not on paylines. Also payouts for most symbols is typically low for Nextgen, but due to wilds multiplier and multiplier during free spins it is still possible to get very nice win.

To trigger free spins you need 3 or more scatters. For 3 scatters you awarded with 10 free spins, for 4 scatters 15 free spins, and finally 5 scatters give 20 free spins, never had 5 scatters at this slot. Irish Eyes II is the sequel of the first version called just Irish Eyes from NextGen Gaming. The first game was widely available at tons of online casinos since it was offered under Microgaming’s Quickfire solution. Due to its popularity among slots fans, NextGen Gaming decided to release another version some time ago.

Weird though that I’m the first to be reviewing this game. I had the opportunity to experiencing them both. However, to be honest I’m still undecided if I like the second version more. In my opinion if a second version of a slot gets released it should be better than the first one and have more to offer in terms and features and potential.

Unfortunately Irish Eyes II does not meet that criteria. It’s a bit more pleasant on the eyes though, since the graphics are of course significantly improved. Just like its predecessor it offers 5-reels, 3-rows and 25-paylines. The symbols have pretty much remained the same. While Irish Eyes I had a Pick Bonus and a Free Spins feature, Irish Eyes II only offers a Free Spins feature.

The Pick Bonus has disappeared to my surprise, which is a shame because it offered a nice opportunity to net in some decent wins. Instead now the Pot symbol functions as a scatter which can appear on any reel. You need 3, 4 or 5 scatters to win respectively 10, 15 or 20 free spins with a 3x multiplier.

Although you can win more free spins now compared to the 12 free games Irish Eyes I offered, most of the time you’ll end up with 10 free spins. So I’m not sure how this is a big improvement either. I guess it averages out eventually.

What I do find an improvement is that the free spins are easier to trigger. Irish Eyes I forced you to get scatters on reels 1, 2 and 3 to even be able to trigger it. That was one of my main points of dissatisfaction during the first release.

Last but not least we have the wild symbol (Irish Lady) which pops up regularly. Looking at the paytable of Irish Eyes II, the top payout is now 5,000 coins for five wilds on a payline. It used to be 10,000 coins. Therefore, the max win is quite disappointing when it comes to Irish Eyes II.

Although the game is an improvement in some aspects, there is still too many elements that have been changed for the worse in my opinion. The minimum bet is 25 cents on this game by the way. I played it briefly on 1 euro bets but never managed to win more than 30x bet size with 5 hats during base game.

The free spins feature awards around 20-30x bet size on average. Didn’t manage to hit a big one there either.
