Before you you enter this house, you should set your bets. When you click on "Stake +/-" you can set coins size which ranges from 0.01 to 0.05, and "Coins" is used to set the number of coins per line that you wish to bet. "Lines" will adjust the number of lines you wish to bet. "Max Bet" will set the maximum bet available and turn the reels automatically. "Spin" will set the reels in motion. When you click on "Expert" mode button you will see that there is the "Autoplay" option which is used to turn the reels without interruption for a chosen number of times.
The game has 2 Wild symbols: the Golden Dragon and the Emperor. Both Wilds substitute for all the symbols the scatter, the bonus symbol and each other. Also, both of them form their own winning combos. Five Emperor Wilds on an active pay-line will get you 5000 credits, and 5 Dragon symbols will get you 10000 credits. Moreover, when the Golden Dragon Wild is used in a combo, the win will be doubled.
Chinese Fan is the Scatter symbol in the game, and once you land 3 or more of them you will activate a bonus game. In here, the fans will turn over to reveal your potential prize and a multiplier. This bonus is triggered often.
The bonus symbol in the game is the Archer. To trigger this bonus game you need to hit 3 or more Archer symbols on an active pay-line. Once you do, you will be asked to gamble your win or to collect it. If you choose to gamble it, you will have to pick one out of four targets shown on screen. Each target offers a different reward. Once you choose your target the archer will aim and try to hit it. If he hits it you will collect your prize, otherwise you will lose both your gamble money and prize.

If it's an Oriental game, then you won't miss finding dragons with pretty Oriental maidens, but in this House Of Dragons game from Microgaming, you'll only find dragons and old men, not a single pretty maiden to be seen around. Perhaps they are all at home, cooking! Hehehe. Don't know if it's an oldie or only a few years old, but I've never come across it until recently, and hence it's only my first ever play on the game, but that's all I need to do to get a fairly reasonable picture of the entire game.
The Dragon is the Wild symbol, paying an excellent 10,000x the line bet for getting all 5 of them, if you can get them that is. It doubles all wins with it, substitutes for other symbols except for the Scatter, the Bonus and the other Wild symbols, but doesn't become stacked or expanded. Fair enough, at least it isn't a dumb Wild symbol. The Old Man is the other Wild symbol in the game, paying half the Dragon's amount, at 5000x the line bet for 5 of them, and similarly substitutes for other symbols as for the main Wild symbol. Why need 2 Wild symbols? Beats me. Perhaps to replace the non-stacking or non-expanding of the main Wild symbol. Just a guess.
The Fan is the Scatter symbol, paying from 2x up to 32x the total bet for getting 3, 4 or 5 of them. Upon appearing on the reels, the fans may open up to reveal a multiplier for the won amount, up to 32x total, or 800 credits maximum. There are no Free Spins game to be won from these Scatters and that is a big shame. The Archer is the Bonus symbol, paying 1600x the line bet for 5 of them, and getting 3 or more on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1, triggers the Archery game. You can either collect what has been won by getting the Bonus symbols, or gamble it for bigger wins by playing the Archery game. You can win up to 4x multiplier on each try, but the game ends when the arrow hits the '0' or no-win target on the board. No win means losing all that you have won, so you get nothing. Sheesh. Not to my liking this. The other symbols in the game pay from 300x to 50x the line bet for getting 5 of each kind. The paytable may look to be a good one, what with the good values of the Wild, Scatter and Bonus symbols, but all the other symbols have very low values, making the overall paytable an average one most of the time.
Firstly, I don't like any game that has no Free Spins game. Secondly, that Bonus Archery game can be very cruel indeed if your Archer hits the no-win target instead of the multiplier. The Archer's aim cannot be manually controlled, so whatever the outcome of the shoot is predetermined, like it or not. I managed to get 3 of the Bonus games, but lost all 3 of them, all because the arrow finally hit the no-win spot after a few rounds of hitting the multipliers. So, if you manage to get hits 2 or 3 times, then better collect quickly, or lose all of the accumulated winnings! Give me the usual Bonus game please, I don't like this one!
