Before holidays officially start, you should set your bets. By clicking on "Bet" you can set coins size, the number of coins per line and max bet. Christmas season is upon us once again, and one more will be coming very soon too. Oh gees, I thought Christmas only happens once a year. Not with Microgaming though, it doesn't. It comes everyday of the year, if you play Happy Holidays everyday. What about me? Hmm, no way! Hahaha.

Okay, I must admit, I was and still am impressed with Happy Holidays. The graphics are marvelous, the animations are nice and good, the atmosphere is christmasy, happy and chilly, and puts a grin on your face whenever that frosty feature comes along. Wish it could be frosty more of the time, but no way, the sun must come out and shine one day. The logo 'Happy Holidays' is the Wild symbol, paying only 50x the total bet for 5 of them. Oh shucks! That's too low, and Santa is going "ho ho ho"! The Golden Ball Decor is the Scatter symbol, paying 100x the total bet for 5 of them as usual. Getting 3 or more of these scatters trigger 10 free spins with all wins tripled. Hmm, 10 free spins is not a lot, but playing them with 1024 ways to win is good enough for anyone. Symbols wise, Santa+kid pays 26.6x the total bet for 5 of them, Kids+presents pays 16.6x, Snowman pays 13.3x, Kids+sleigh pays 10x, Christmas Tree pays 6.6x, and the rest paying 3.3x to 1.6x, all per total bet for 5 of each kind.

Always watch out for the Snowman, because this icy thing can transform itself into any of the high paying symbol to give the highest win possible during the Free Spins game. What do I dislike? Hmm. Not a lot. The paytable may be low, but the 1024 ways to win covers back whatever shortcomings there are. The game is enjoyable to play, the Frosty feature is good, it feels like it's christmas already, except for big fat stockings full of cash. That is yet to come, for me at least. Hahaha.

Happy Holidays, by Microgaming, is just in my taste. It's not a secret that I like holiday themed slots. One of my favorite of all time is Deck the Halls by Microgaming as well. It's a 5-reels 243-paylines video slot with such a wonderful background sound. It makes you feel so relaxed and calm. It's all about Christmas and New Year and there isn't a single symbol I could say I don't like. I like them all. I've played with minimum bets of 0.30 cents and had got several times five-of-a-kind wins which didn't pay anything decent, but later, I finally triggered a Bonus feature. I won around 10 Euros and would like to bring to your attention that I've played this game only twice so far.

In order to trigger the Free Spins game, you must collect 3 or more gold baubles which awards you with 10 free spins, and that's the moment when the true holiday mood begins, because during this Free Spins feature, there are 1024 ways to win. Yes, you heard me right. Even the super cute Snowman transforms into an Extra Wild and substitutes for the higher paying symbols, increasing your chances of extra wins. Call me old fashioned but I love this vintage looking game. Probably Microgaming software releases at least one of these kinds of games every year during Christmas time. I have found this game just recently and I have to say that I loved it. The symbols took me back to my childhood and the winnings took me to seventh heaven. I really cannot find the words to describe this game. I opened the bonus feature quite early during my game session and I got like 30 euros. This is not that bad considering the fact that I was playing on minimum bet. During the bonus feature I had many times five of a kind symbol. During the base game though, the stockings appear quite a lot, and the thing here is that even if you get five stockings the payouts are not that good.

This is a 5 reel and 243 ways to win slot. I got 12 something euros on my first spin. I have to say it was love at first spin for me. The theme in this game is Christmas of course and all the symbols are related to this theme. On the reels you can find the Father Christmas, kids opening gifts, a snowman, a sledge, beautiful Christmas Tree, a stocking, a turkey, a gingerbread house and a plate of biscuits.

Free spins are triggered by 3 or more gold baubles and you get 10 free spins. There are 1024 pay lines during this feature. Happy Holidays is one of the newest games from Microgaming software and it was released in the beginning of this month. And with Christmas celebration and me feeling festive this year, I was very eager to try this game. Before I tried this game I had watched a preview video and I had good first impression, the design was nice and the features this game holds, seemed promising.

Now I've spent a couple of sessions with this slot and in my opinion it's one of the best releases Microgaming's done lately. Firstly I like how the game transforms, from 5 reels and 243 paylines in the base game, to 1024 way slot in the free spins. That is why I like the free spins so much. They are triggered with 3 or more scatter symbols and from my experience they aren't so hard to trigger. Then you play 15 free spins and although they don't have a multiplier, a couple of times I've had over 100x bet win in this feature. That has happened when I had 5oak winnings one after another and again- it's not that hard to get such good combinations, because there are wild symbols and 2 symbols on free spins can change to any symbol, which is very useful.

Then this game also has a Frosty feature, which is similar to pick me bonus, but in here you don't pick anything. This feature comes up randomly after a non win spin, it frozes 5 highest pay symbols and reveals the wins they hold. The first time I didn't expect much from this feature because usually this kind of bonus hasn't got high payouts, but this was a pleasant surprise. With this game mostly I got from 40- 60x bet winnings, which is a great balance booster in base game, yet again in one session I've triggered it around 5 times and that is a good result, in my opinion.

But the best part I've experienced was when I had this Frosty feature and one of the symbols was a scatter- then I received free spin round, so I had not only frozen feature win but also free spins, which gave around 150x bet win.

Happy Holidays is a game I recommend to try and that is for many reasons. I think it has great winning potential, so far I've had many decent hits, which I can't say about other Microgamings recent releases. Happy Holidays is one of the newest video slots from Microgaming software. It has 243 pay ways and i tried it for a couple of minutes.

I like the theme in this game and this is the reason why I opened it. I had on my balance only around 20€ and I decided to play this game first.

The base game is not so interesting. I had only small winnings and while I was playing it my balance just falling down towards zero. When I almost lost all my balance, I triggered free spins feature. Here free spins feature is ok, it starts on higher pay ways. There are 1024 pay ways into free spins and I like this because it could offer bigger winnings. But when I triggered it I had only small winnings and I was really disappointed about this game.

I expected much better payouts during base game and also from free spins feature. At the end I lost money on this game and I do not think I will play it again in near future.

The graphics and theme are good, but all the rest is a disappointment for me at this game. I think Microgaming created bad video slot.

I will rate this game with 6 stars. I do not like playing video slots where iIam losing my money without any decent winnings.

The pay outs at this game is bad. I expected much more from it, for 5 of the kind symbols I expected bigger pay outs especially during free spins feature. As for the round of 10 free spins already mentioned, it is also necessary to mention that the snowman symbol acts as a wild symbol enabled to substitute only high symbols and this together with the additional row and 1024 ways to win, make this round something really exceptional. There is another feature called "Frosty Feature" that makes payouts for every high symbol appeared when is triggered and it also activates the round of free games with the appearance of just a single scatter symbol, this feature is triggered randomly after any spin where we have not obtained earnings.

Design and ambiance are very important aspects in a slot, but we must not forget that in the world of gambling everything revolves around money, and this is where "Happy Holidays" shows some weaknesses; firstly rates on the paytable are too small in my opinion, even for a slot of 243 ways to win, and this affects not only our earnings during the base game but during our rounds of free spins.

Furthermore, the likelihood of triggering a free round on the traditional way, with the occurrence of 3 scatters, it seems to be quite low, although this may not seem as improbable as the activation of the "Frosty Feature", which I could not access during my first long session or during the next. In general, I see very difficult the possibility of profit in this game, the combination of a weak paytable and a couple of hard-to-trigger features is pretty discouraging even for the most optimistic player.
