One of the latest releases from Pragmatic Play comes with the title, Greek Gods. Although the title refers to the twelve gods of ancient Greek mythology, but only two appear. Zeus and his wife Hera.
In my opinion, it would be better to contain the remaining ten!

However the game offers, a journey back in time to an era when the gods ruled, in front of temple of Parthenon, above the clouds, where the mighty and gold glory, expects to put on test and reward each player.

The game has 5 reel and 243 ways to win with an ancient Greek theme. The game comes with Random awards, Wheel of Fortune bonus and Free Spins feature. Symbols on the reels include 10, J, Q, K and A as well as cups, lyres, goddess Hera and god of the sky Zeus. There is also a Wild symbol that substitutes for all symbols except for the Lightning Scatter symbol. The graphics are on the powerful side of Pragmatics play level. But the paytable stands on the weak side. A low variance slot with max win capped at 1.000x.

Greek gods were released about 2 months ago by Pragmatic Play. This slot has 243 pay ways available and can be played at minimum bet of just $0.25 per spin and not sure what the max is, as it does not fit my gambling budget go those stakes.

The theme is obvious, and the graphics is brilliant. Your standard card decks symbols and then you have a princess symbol and the Greek god which is the highest paid symbols. This slot features 243 pay ways, so the highest paid symbol pays x10 your bet. Let me be honest, the base game pays really bad, 7 out of 10 is dead non-paid spins, just that you have those lighting symbols to hit values or the bonus or free spins, but that’s it. This slot is about the free spins feature and the bonus wheel to be honest. Although wild comes stacked, they hardly connect or that damn scatter symbols mess up the combos landing on reel three, very frustrating.

So you get a scatter symbol that lands in stacks on the reels and a fully stacked reel of the symbol lands on reel 3, 4 and 5 activated the feature or value at the top of the reel or if you land 5 or more on those reels you enter the free spins feature.

The bonus game is by landing stacked scatter symbol on the reel that represent bonus at the top of the reel. You will then spin a wheel with a minimum win of x20 up to x1000 your win. The average for me was x35 – 75x wins.

The free spins feature plays exactly like the base game, with the exception of reels 1 and 2 also have values or feature at the top of reels, enabling more bonus rounds or extra spins. Scatters symbols are pretty active so you can win more. But during free spins you do not get much wins from connecting symbols.

I like the game, but really its just there to play for a bit of fun, but not in anyway that I think of playing it, only when I see it.

Greek Gods is one of the latest releases from Pragmatic Play, although the game itself is yet a clone of another game, so there isn’t anything new to expect, or to get, from it, except perhaps a little bit more of fun, but that too if you are lucky enough to get it, hehehe.

When I looked through the win values of the symbols, I wasn’t shocked, not at all, because I am already familiar with the usual very low and extremely low win values of most Pragmatic Play games. In this case, both the Wild and Scatter symbols are non-paying, but the top symbol pays only a measly 6x the total bet for any 5 of them, so you can imagine how low the others would be. Thankfully though, the game plays with 243 ways to win, so even small wins can be won on many paylines, for much better win amounts. Nonetheless, there aren’t any multipliers anywhere to boost up the wins, so huge wins may not be possible at all.

There are 2 features available – free spins, triggered by getting 5 or more Scatter symbols, or by landing a full reel of Scatters on a reel with a Free Spins prize at the top, and a Bonus Wheel Round, whereby a spin on the wheel would pay from 10x up to 1000x the total bet. This 1000x is probably the maximum possible win in this Greek Gods game. How do you get that Bonus Round? By landing a full reel of Scatters with a Bonus prize at the top of the reel – there aren’t any Bonus symbols to trigger the Bonus Round.

My first few sessions on this game didn’t go that well, getting rather low payouts most of the time, with the occasional 100x wins. The Bonus Wheel has yet to give me anything higher than a 35x win, but that’s only to be expected I guess. Where my best win of 659x came from, is none other than from the free spins, and this came only very recently (hence I decided to write this review quickly, hehehe). At the end of the free spins play, I was totally amazed when I realised that the feature had given 219 free spins in total! This was, and is, totally beyond my expectation, because I never thought that any Pragmatic Play game could ever give that many free spins, even beating my favourite Playtech games!

Well, just goes to show that even Pragmatic Play can rise and be great one day, hopefully in the near future, as they continue to produce better games. Let me rephrase that…produce better-paying games, hehehe.
