Game providers certainly love to try out new formats for their games, from the classic 3-reelers, to the standard 5-reelers, and now into 6-reels with 6-rows, and even more. Yggdrasil came out with its Power Plant game and I renamed it the 'Printed Toilet Roll' game, because the game's symbols stretches vertically down for 12 rows or so. NetEnt's Planet Of The Apes game got renamed the 'Printed Kitchen Roll' game, because the symbols stretches horizontally over 10 reels. All of these new formats are simply not to my liking at all, appearing so very cluttered, messy and uncomfortable to look at. But, I've never liked this 3-4-5-4-3 rows format either. They look just as clumsy! Hahaha.
Grand Sumo, another game from the new provider Fugaso, plays with 720 paylines, with 3, 4 and 5 rows and 5 reels. This format looks like it is ready to burst at the center portion at any time, with those small blardy symbols screaming "let me out, let me out!" Argh! The logo 'Grand Sumo' is the non-paying Wild symbol, can appear stacked on the reels but it doesn't double wins with it. During the free spins, reel 3 is a fully Stacked Wild Reel, if it does any good at all, because it has never been much good during the free spins that I have played! The Bowl is the Scatter symbol, paying 50x the total bet for 5 of them, and serves to trigger 5 free spins, which can be retriggered. Well, 5 free spins, with no multipliers, certainly cannot do much in terms of wins! The Free Spins games that I had were all disappointing!
Grand Sumo, with its very low paytable, with its non-paying Wild symbols, and with no multipliers for the free spins, simply failed to keep me interested! I got bored very quickly with its peanut payouts in the base game, and the Free Spins games simply cannot deliver any good wins either, as far as my plays are concerned, so Grand Sumo may never see another play from me again!
