To give you an idea of the potential of these features, I will comment as I got my best superbigwin in this game, and it happened just after triggering a round of free games, and during the first turn they came 3 symbols with the image of the walking gorilla stacked on the reel number 1, which triggered the feature Hot Hot Respin and I was so lucky that for the end of my third re-spin, my board was completely filled with symbols of the walking gorilla and wilds everywhere, and this is a “perfect” because this one is the symbol with the highest rate of all the paytable.

I read the previous review of this slot here at AskGamblers and at least for me it did not seem to be extraordinary. The slot “Gorilla Chief 2” is one of the largest slots (5 reels x 4 line) with 50 paylines. The theme is that of the equatorial jungle and Gorilla is of course the “chief” symbol here (Stacked Wild). Despite the large number of lines and the ease of entry into Free Spins, unfortunately almost all payouts (“3 and 4 of a kind”) pay less or at most equal with the total bet. This says everything about the slot; even a Big Win is just about 5-10 Euros! How to get some extra money when you pay 40 cents for a spin?

But to go back to the starting point: in some moments the slot could however be pretty good, but what I disliked for sure is that you need to pay in addition for a “feature” (Hot-Hot Spin) that may not bring you anything. When reel one is full with the same symbol, these symbols are kept (held) and two consecutive respins of the other symbols happen. Any new same symbols are also held. At the end the count is made. For such a “Hot-Hot Spin” to happen you pay about 1.5-3 Euro (one “feature” is given each 10-20 spins) and the win is about 1-2 Euro. Often I won some 10 to 30 cents, once I won nothing, and just once I gained about 4 Euros. A bit less and thus in total after 300 spins here I lost about 35 Euro!

At the end of the game here I left without regret. Perhaps in other circumstances the slot pays different, but from me it gets just an average rating.

This game is wild! I have played 2 version of this video slot; online and land based.
The differences between this two versions are very clear;
- online version has 50 paylines with 3 scatters on the first 3 reels that trigger the free spins bonus round. Each spin costs 40 cent and the hot hot feature triggers only when the first reel is fully filled with the 1 kind of logo.
- land based version has 40 paylines and the scatters are on every reel but the free spins bonus round also only triggered when the scatters appears on the first three reels with a minimum of 5 scatters and maximum of 20 scatters (trigger 80 free spins) with all wins doubled.

Personally I like the land based version better because of the potential of 80 free spins.
