Gorilla Go Wild Slot NextGen Gaming

Gorilla Go Wild is a jungle-themed 25-payline video slot operating on the NextGen Gaming software platform. The wild card is the character of Gary the Gorilla, while the Temple icon is the game’s scatter. Players are welcome to test the slot on this page for free or play the game for real money in any of the NextGen Gaming casinos found in the listings.

To join Gary the Gorilla on his everyday adventures, players should adjust their preferred wager first. The “Bet Up/Down” arrows select the coin value ranging from 0.01 to 2 and “Max Bet” selects the highest wager. Pressing “Spin” initiates the game, while “Autoplay” spins the reels a number of times uninterrupted.

After a win, players can click “Gamble” to increase winnings. Guessing the correct colour of the next card doubles one’s amount, while guessing the suit quadruples it. Wrong guesses will result in the termination of the feature. Moreover, players can press “Take Win” to collect their winnings and leave the round.

Gary’s Bonus Time may be awarded after any bought spin. The more players play, the more bananas Gary the Gorilla eats. Gary advances when he has no more bananas and the more he advances, the more frequently he awards players with Gary’s Bonus Time.

As players continue playing, they can unlock Gorillionaire Win Spins Feature, Stay Wild Feature, Mega-Rilla Multiplier Feature and More Wilds Feature. 3 scatters trigger Gary’s Feature Kingdom and players choose 1 of the available Free Games features.

Gorillionaire Win Spins Feature is available after the first trigger. Players win 10 Winning Spins wherein all wins are doubled. These spins can be re-triggered once.

In the Stay Wild Feature10 Free Games are awarded. Any wild card that appears is held in its position for the remainder of the Free Games. The feature can be reactivated once.

Mega-Rilla Multiplier Feature wins players 10 Free Games. All wins are multiplied by the Free Games multiplier which starts at x1. Any wild symbol that emerges during the feature increases the Free Games multiplier by 1 up to a maximum of x10. This round can be re-triggered once.

In the More Wilds Feature 10 Free Games are won in which symbols may change to wild cards. This round can reactivated once.

Gorilla Go Wild is a Jungle themed video slot from NextGen Gaming with 5 Reels/25 Paylines/Sticky Wilds/Bonus features.

The design and gameplay are well presented but nothing more above my expectations. For those who admire the Jungle atmosphere, might be an appropriate choice to engage.

Ever heard of Gary the Gorilla? Well, you have now, in this Gorilla Go Wild game from NextGen. Gary is a cute little gorilla that would eat bananas one at a time, all for your benefit. Actually, for a small little fella, Gary bites and swallows each banana in real quick time, but don't go and follow his style of eating - you might end up choking! Hahaha. It's not a new game, not a new one either, but can be quite fun to play, especially if Gary is in a good mood. Well, my several plays with him haven't really been any good, but I'm not complaining nonetheless.

Gary is of course the Wild symbol in the game, but unfortunately paying a very low 50x the total bet for getting 5 of him. Gary doesn't double any wins either, so that's one more downside for Gary. The Pyramid is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pays 83x the total bet (another low value), and getting 3 or more of these Scatters award a Free Spins game - there are 4 progressive levels of free spins modes, each with varying features, so you need to progress through each one of them in sequence. As for the other symbols in the game, they pay from 33x down to 2x the total bet for any 5 of them, so the paytable isn't that good at all, and still a low one.

During play, both in base game and during free spins, Gary may randomly award a Gary's Bonus Time feature to win an instant cash prize - not a lot, but better than nothing. The 4 progressive modes for the free spins are Grillionaire Wild Spins, awarding 10 free spins with a 2x multiplier, Stay Wild, awarding 10 free spins with Sticky Wilds, Mega-killa Multiplier, awarding 10 free spins with increasing multipliers up to 10x, and finally More Wilds, awarding 10 free spins with up to 3 symbols turning into Extra Wild symbols. Retrigger is possible for one time only in each of the 4 modes. Ah well, at least there's still a chance for a retrigger, for a better winning potential.

When Gary finishes eating that bunch of bananas above his head, he would move to a new place for a new bunch of bananas. For players, each new bunch of bananas means better and higher prizes for the features, but Gary can only move 3 times, so the final bunch of bananas would provide the best winning potentials. Yeah, the longer you play, the better the prizes - so for nice big wins, you must get to the 4th bunch of bananas, or you would go bananas with only small wins! Hahaha.

An interesting game to play in the long run, because you need to progress through the 4 modes of free spins, very much like in Immortal Romance and other similar games. From thereon, you can choose any of the 4 modes to play your free spins, for better or for worse. Why? Simply because any of the 4 modes can provide good wins or bad wins! May the Luck be with you all the time! It didn't for me, and I haven't had any good luck on this game so far either. My best win is just below 100x my bet amount, so that's nothing to shout about. Nonetheless, if Gary offers me a banana, I'd still take it! Hehehe.

I really haven't played too many NextGen slots in the past, in fact 300 Shields and Foxin' Wins are the only two I can think of off the top of my head that I have spent a great deal of time playing. 300 Shields is of course a true classic and Foxin' Wins isn't half bad, so I know this developer is capable of making a great game and I feel I haven't given their slots anywhere near as much attention as I should have done!

My first impressions of "Gorilla Go Wild" were very positive - I smiled at the games introduction screen for naming it's Gorilla protagonist "Gary" as there's no doubt that naming any animal instantly makes me feel more attached to the character than I otherwise would. I wasn't going to let a cute onscreen monkey influence me too much though of course! :)

Progressing into the slot proper my first thought was that it was a little unnecessary giving up a quarter of the screen real estate to "Gary", I suspected he was going to become involved with the reels in some way and sure enough on my very first spin he jumped up on his feet in response to two scatters falling into view and appeared to be even more disappointed than I was when a critical third failed to make an appearance. On subsequent spins I soon learned that Gary has lots of different animations, but I didn't see him really making any difference to the outcome of my spins like the fox often does in Foxin' Wins.

I liked the fact that the game has several features that can be unlocked by entering the bonus round repeatedly which is a feature I have previously only seen in slots from Microgaming eg Thunderstruck2 and Immortal Romance. This definitely increases the games addictiveness and always makes me want to continue playing so I can unlock the next feature and give it a try!

I really enjoyed Gorilla Go Wild overall, there's plenty of fresh ideas here and plenty of chances to land yourself a huge win. There's a lot of variety between the different bonus features and it feels like a very professional and polished product. I definitely prefer this game to Foxin' Wins and in fact whilst it may not have quite the same potential for an outrageously huge win as 300 Shields, I think it has the edge in terms of fun and variety.

I felt the game was running very slowly but I had quite a few tabs open within my browser at that moment so decided I should probably close a few things down to see if that helped the game to run more smoothly. The animation did improve when I did this however I have played many other games today that were still able to function correctly without having to trim down my browser activity which suggests this game has relatively high system requirements for some reason.
