Esqueleto Explosivo 2 is a video slot that runs on Thunderkick software, featuring 5 reels and 99 paylines. For those of you who remember, and the title is pretty suggestive, it’s a sequel to the original game and it was about time to make a part 2 to this. There is no difference in the theme of course, so let’s join the Dia de Muertos celebration with Enrico and his band once again here for fun or for real at any Thunderkick Casino.

Slot Features
The moment you load the game there is no doubt that you will not notice many differences between this and the original, but a closer look is warranted in this case, so let’s see why this celebration is worth your time.
Dropping Symbols
Dropping symbols feature is similar to "cascading symbols" and it was the part of old that Thunderkick decided to keep and not change. How it works is that once you hit a win, symbols combining a win explode, and are replaced by more dropping down symbols from above to fill the gaps.
Explosivo Wild
The Explosivo Wild is represented as the yellow skull embellished with a pair of glasses, a wide smile and a cool haircut. This symbol can substitute for all the other symbols except the Scatter, and it is also an element retained from the original but with a twist. Wild can explode all the surrounding symbols with minimum 3 and maximum 8 symbols depending on where the Wild lands.
Mucho Multiplier
Mucho multiplier feature has been retained from the original as well, and it can activate anytime you hit a win on a drop, or when you hit at least one explosivo wild. It’s a leveling-up type of multiplier and the levels go as following: x1, x2, x4, x8, x16, x32.
Scatter Symbol
You need 3 or more Scatters if you want to enter the Bonus round, and this is a new addition unlike the original slot. Bonus round is in fact a Free Spins game and the number of awarded spins will depend on the number of triggering Scatters. You can get 10, 12 or 14 spins for 3, 4 or 5 Scatters, respectively. If you hit 2 or more Scatters during the round, the feature will be retriggered awarding extra 3, 7, 10 or 12 spins. However, that’s not all, every additional Scatter over 5 will add extra 2 spins.
Bonus Game
Once the round starts, for every third Explosivo Wild that you collect in the round, you will get an additional spin. Not only that, but the lowest multiplier present will get removed and the next base multiplier will get applied. If and when you fill up the meter, you will get one last extra spin. Unlike the base game, the multipliers in the bonus round can go up to x64, but that one remains locked until you manage to reach x32 multiplier in the base game.
Summary
Esqueleto Explosivo 2 has one of those cute looking graphics, and a charm that only Thunderkick knows how to add to their games, that do not fail to put smiles on our faces. We certainly liked the fact the the game retained the familiar and original look and just making improvements in the gameplay department and potential. It is highly volatile with 96.13% RTP and maximum wins that can go up to x5000 your bet, so don’t be scared to test it out and see what it has to offer.
Esqueleto Explosivo 2 is a 5 reel and 99 payline slot from Thunderkick that was released a while ago. I have to say that when it first came out, I wasn't too eager to give it a try. For the simple reason being the fact that it's a sequel to their previous release Esqueleto Explosivo. I did like the game but never really had any huge wins on it, so at first I was a bit skeptical. Yet I do like some of the newer Thunderkick releases and I really liked the game theme so I decided to give it a go. And ever since it's surprisingly become one of my favorites from Thunderkick.
As I mentioned, I like the theme of this game, which is inspired by the Dia de los Muertos, hence as symbols you'll see are different color skeletons jumping around when participating in a win. What I also find to be interesting about this game is the fact that it has 99 paylines yet the minimum bet is only 10 cents. However, don't let it fool you- the game is quite volatile and can easily eat your balance without giving a bonus round or any big win.
Speaking of features, the game is simple yet effective. Every time you get a win, the winning symbols will cascade and the multiplier will increase. So if you get several consecutive wins, you can get up to 32x multiplier in the base game. Also, if a wild lands in a non winning spin, he will explode and remove non premium symbols next to him, as well as increase the multiplier. I've had a few wins with the 16x and 32x multipliers and hence I've managed to get a few 200x bet wins from the base game itself. However, it happens quite rarely, but the possibility is definitely there.
Then the game also has a bonus round, once you get 3 or more scatter symbols on the reels. You get 10 free spins and the goal is to get to the 64x multiplier. Here again, after every win, the multiplier increases, however, for every 3 wild symbols you collect, you'll increase your start multiplier and get 1 additional spin. So once you've collected 3 wilds, you'll get 1 free spin and your multiplier won't go below 2x. So if you're lucky enough, you can get a 32x or even 64x multiplier for your spins- however, that's a difficult task to achieve since you need many wilds to land. A few times I've managed to get to 32x multiplier and that's when you can get really nice wins, my best one being around 400x bet. But again, the bonus round is very volatile and you can easily not get past the first multiplier stage. On most occasions I ended up with less than 50x bet wins.
Overall I think it's a fun game to play with low bets that can potentially give a good balance boost. The design is pleasant and there's definitely win potential there. But that being said, more often than not, this game has taken from me a good balance with minimum bets, and not given me a single bonus round and lots of dead spins, so I'd recommend being careful with it.
