Before you start picking your date ladies, you should set your bets. By clicking on "Bet" you will be able to set coins size which ranges from 0.15 to 60, and coins. "Spin" will set the reels in motion, "Max Bet" will set the maximum bet allowed, and "Autoplay" option is used to turn the reels without interruption for a chosen number of times.
Game logo is the Wild symbol in the game and it can make winning combos on its own and when substituting in a win. Wild can substitute for any symbol except for the Scatter. However, it does not substitute for the symbols in the Hot Zone win. Wild on reel 3 will expand vertically to fill entire reel and it will award x2 multiplier during the bonus spins round.
The Scatter symbol will trigger the bonus spins round, but it can also form Scatter wins if you land 2 or more symbols anywhere on the reels. A few games instantly came into my mind at the thought of Microgaming’s fairly new game entitled Dream Date – Starlight Kiss and Playboy, not to mention some other games by other providers, of which Perfect Date by Saucify being the closest match in title. As for the game itself, I would say that Dream Date has a bit of Starlight Kiss and a bit of Playboy characteristics, but unfortunately though, Dream Date is far behind in what the other 2 games could offer.
Exactly how and what do I mean by that? Well, the most important difference, as far as I am concerned, is the absence of 3 or more full Wild Reels – Dream Date could only offer 1 Wild Reel on reel 3, that’s all. The next important difference lies in the free spins feature, whereby only 8 free spins are awarded, and the 2x Wild Multiplier only comes in when reel 3 becomes a full Wild Reel, otherwise, there aren’t any multipliers, and no retriggers as well – argh! Okay, so 16 free spins can be awarded, but only when getting 3 Scatters and getting the Hot Zone feature activated at the same time – needless to say, that’s not an easy thing to come by!
The paytable is yet one more aspect that isn’t as good – getting 5 Wild symbols would pay only 33x the total bet, whilst getting 5 Scatters would pay 100x, but all other symbols would pay from 16x downwards. Despite playing with 243 ways to win, these values are just not good enough to produce any big wins!
The Hot Zone positions are in the middle of reel 1 and reel 3 (middle row), where you need to get a Lady symbol plus a Man symbol to win some extra instant cash. If the Man is your selected Dream Date symbol, you’d win a slightly bigger prize, but nothing big at all. Getting 3 Scatter symbols would award 8 free spins, but getting these 3 Scatters simultaneously with a Hot Zone win would award 16 free spins instead. Yeah right, like that would make a really big difference at all – getting retriggers during the free spins would definitely be better!
Sorry to say, but after playing Dream Date for a few hours, I began getting the disappointment feelings. Most of the base game payouts were poor and low, and the several Free Spins games that I got all paid poorly too, under 30x my bet amount, except for one win of 72x. Yeah, after getting that 72x win, I was out of Dream Date in a flash! Hahaha.
