There are lots of beautiful games out there that could not provide what are expected of them, whereas there are oldie games with much lower quality graphics that could perform excellently, and come out as big hits. So, what about this Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde game? Can it meet the high expectations to be a hit? Let's find out for sure.

Firstly, there aren't any paying Wild symbol in this game, but the logo itself, 'Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde' acts as a Wild symbol in substituting Jekyll and Hyde symbols only, without substituting for any other symbols. In my books, it's an absolutely dumb Wild symbol! It doesn't pay for itself, it doesn't substitute for normal symbols, it doesn't double any wins, and it doesn't become stacked or expanded. This Wild symbol appears only on reels 1, 3 and 5, and exists only to trigger the feature games of Jekyll and of Hyde. I find this ridiculous. If that's not enough, there aren't any Scatter or Bonus symbols either. Meaning, the usual winning chances from getting the Wild, Scatter or Bonus symbols does not exist at all in this game. Sheesh! Dr Jekyll pays 1200x, Mr Hyde pays 1200x too, and the rest pay from 200x to 100x, all per line bet for 5 of each kind, making the paytable a damn low one indeed.

To win, you need to get either one of the feature games, or get the Free Spins game. The base game has no potentials to pay any decent wins at all, much less getting any good wins. The feature games consist of Red Potion feature, Blue Potion feature, Frenzy Bonus and Potion Bonus games, and of course the Free Spins game. A Red Potion with adjacent Jekyll symbol transforms all logo and Jekyll symbols into Hyde Wilds, then followed by a shuffle of all symbols to create new wins. A Blue Potion with adjacent Hyde symbol awards a random win multiplier of 5x up to 20x the total bet amount. A Hyde with an adjacent logo symbol triggers the Frenzy Bonus game, to win up to 66x the total bet amount. Meeting a Policeman removes half the collected cash amount. What can I say about a game that doesn't have the usual Wild symbols, that doesn't have any Scatter or Bonus symbols, and a Free Spins game that can end in just 5 free spins and yet doesn't have any multipliers? Well, my words for it just cannot be said out! I find these totally ridiculous and unacceptable, needing total dependence on the feature games to give decent payouts. The base game itself was a big bore, with nothing more than small insignificant wins, and Dr Jekyll bursting out with joy for a 5 coins win! Oh, come on! The bet is 30 coins, and Jekyll is happy for getting a 5 coins win? Sheesh!

I've played this game only 3 times over the years. Not once did I get any nice wins. One Free Spins game ended on the 7th free spin, paying a blardy ridiculous 1x my bet amount, after eating more than half of my starting credits! Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is nice designed and themed video slot from Betsoft software company. It has 30 pay lines and I played this game a while ago. I had nice time when I played it and I like this game.

The game offer different features and bonus games. When I played it I never received free spins feature which is triggered by collecting potions. I do not know how it is possible, maybe because I played it only for a short time.

There are also potions bonus and frenzy bonus. These bonuses I also received. At potions bonus you have to pick out potion elements and in the end you get prizes. I won around x 10 bet here. But you can win up to x 160 bet which I think is good enough for bonus game.

At second bonus game, Frenzy bonus you have to choose left or right side where Mr Hyde will run. I won around x 50 bet here, it is a decent win and I like this bonus too.

After all I think this is nice themed game with really good graphics. It is very nice designed and I think I will play it again when I will play some games from Betsoft software provider. I think here you can win good amounts, but still not so huge. Maybe at free spins feature, but I do not know how it looks like because I never triggered it.

I played some other games from this software provider and I think this is one of their best game which I tried till now. Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde could be also good for wagering bonuses because it has many bonus games and free spins feature. The pay outs during base game were decent and I like this game. Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a Betsoft software game and as I don't really like their games much, this is my absolute favorite from the software. It has 5 reels and 30 paylines and has many features. I usually cannot get to the free spins mode just because my balance mostly gets bust before getting there.

I spent almost all my session playing this game at Casino Blu. I had 80$ balance and I was sure that with that balance I could finally get to the free spins. Free spins is the main bonus round for this game. You have a meter on your screen and each time you place a bet and get red potion, the meter will fill. When it is completely full, it will start the bonus round of free spins. The thing is, the smaller your bet is, the smaller amount it will fill in the meter. I played with 0.60$ bets at first and it took me 140 spins to fulfill it. Then I was awarded with free spins. In the free spins mode there's another meter in it, this time - blue potion. The free spins doesn't have a concrete amount, they will end when the blue potion meter is fulfilled (each time spin gets blus potion symbol, it will fulfill it, but in the bonus game it happens more quickly). I played overall 30 free spins. Within them I managed to get potion bonus too (you can also trigger it on the main game) and overall I got28$ win.

The potion bonus triggers, when you get Dr Jekyll on 2nd reel, Mr Hyde on 3rd and Dr Jekyll again on 4th reel. It happened to me 2 times through my session. In this bonus you just have to pick potions, which makes the anti monster serum. The more times you pick wrong, the smaller your win will be. I got about 30x bet wins, because I failed with picking. There's also a Frenzy bonus but honestly speaking, if I have got it, it was a long time ago so I'm not gonna write about that.

However, the 2 last features features I'm speaking about red and blue potion features, visited me often. The red one triggers when the red potion symbols are on 2nd and 4th reel and Dr Jekyll is in the middle of them, on the 3rd reel, and just the same is about the blue potion feature, just that blue potion symbols have to be on 2nd and 4th reel and in the middle - My Hyde. Red potion feature will make the all reels with places, random changing and the mr Hyde, logo and Dr Jekyll will be wilds. This feature came up more often that blue potion feature and it brought a few times 30x bet win. The blue potion is less generous and gives up to 20x bet win. The odd thing is that there is no wild in this game. Well, there is, but it is not for the game itself, it works as a wild for the two main features-Jekyll and Hyde.

Overall this is my favorite game from the software but I am not planning on playing it soon, it always takes away my money super fast and even when I managed to get the free spins, it hasn't given me more than 50x bet. The other bonuses can bring small occasional wins but in the long run it will take away all your balance.

Even in free mode they can be fun and exciting enough to keep you busy playing. With this slot review I won’t get too much into the specifics of Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde because otherwise I would need like 5 full pages to describe each and every feature of this entertaining game.

The game itself focuses on the story of Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde. I’m sure most of the gamblers are somewhat familiar with the book in question. I had to read it for my English classes back in secondary school so it was nice to see this game available as a slot.

The Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde slot contains 5-reels, 3-rows and 30-paylines. I’m not too sure what the minimum bet was for this game. I believe each casino has their own settings when it comes to applying their betting limits. Some might expect you to wager 60 cents per spin instead of 30 cents.

I played this game on 1.50 euro spins however. The gameplay is quite innovative since the free spins don’t get triggered by random. There is a progressive bar which gets filled every time the red potion symbols appears. You need at least 100 of those potion symbols, before the free spins feature gets triggered. Since more potion symbol can appear during a spin, and since they appear quite often it’s hard to say how many spins it takes.

I believe it’s the same as a randomly triggered free spins feature, but at least it does give you an idea how close you are. In addition, there is a very awkward Wild symbol (Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde symbol), which only replaces winning combinations for Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde.

Other symbols don’t count. It only appears on reels 1, 3 and 5. Then there are also some special bonus features which get triggered if you get a particular symbol between the red or blue potions, while the Frenzy bonus is also fun to watch.

Going back to the free spins topic, the number of free spins is unknown as well. They keep playing until some progressive bar is filled. Every time a blue potion appears, the bar increases. After 12 of those potions the free spins feature ends.

Overall this is a very decent game which certainly is a good choice for the casual recreational player that likes low variance slots. Unfortunately this game only has a top prize of 1200 coins. So there is no way to win big here.

My wins were very marginal when I played this game despite experiencing every feature Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde has to offer. Therefore, I certainly can’t recommend this game to players who are going for the big win.

The first thing you will notice here is Dr; Jekyll standing and after every win says “ Tally-ho!”. Even though it repeats all the time after every little win it doesn’t get boring even a little.

All of the symbols here are animated and after every win you have a chance to see a 3D animation. The free spins bonus is triggered after you get the symbol with a red potion 100 times. That’s not so hard to collect because after every second spin you get one or more of these symbols. I have gotten 3 symbols the most in one spin. The best thing about this game is the short movie which starts before the free spins bonus. in that movie Dr. Jekyll drinks the potion and turns into Mr. Hyde. There is an option to skip this movie if you want but I wouldn’t recommend it.
