Dead or Alive is a Wild West-themed video slot which features 5 reels and 9 paylines. This slot game will take you back to the 20th century and it is all thanks to NetEnt who created the game. This is a pretty basic slot, but it still offers truly impressive visual and audio effects. The reels are set against the western landscape with the storm rolling in, and with lightning flashing in the sky. Ride straight into any NetEnt Casino to play for real, or spin the reels for fun here at our page.

Slot Features
The Dead or Alive slot is not something you would call an action packed slot, but it still has a couple of interesting features to keep your attention while you’re spinning those reels.
Wanted Poster symbol is the Wild in the game, and it can substitute for all the symbols in the game except for the Scatter. Wild can also form wins on its own when you land 3 or more of them on an active pay line.
Sticky Wild
Sticky Wilds can appear during the Free Spins feature. Once they land on the reels, they will remain locked in the position they are at, till the Free Spins feature ends. Sticky Wilds act the same way as the regular Wild, and it can replace for all the symbols in the game except for the Scatter. If one or more Sticky Wilds appear on the reels during the Free Spins feature they will activate extra 5 Free Spins.
Free Spins
Pistols are the Scatter symbol, and if you land 3 or more of them anywhere on the reels, you will trigger the Free Spins feature, and you will be awarded with 12 spins. All wins that you land during the feature will be multiplied by 2. This feature can be retriggered only once per Free Spins session.
Summary
With the RTP of 96.8% the Dead or Alive slot will have you chase after the most wanted bandits till you net some nice wins. With various betting options and a number of game settings this slot is definitely worth a spin.
Ahhh, Dead or Alive. This is just a timeless classic of slot machine development, a game that I can’t ever see losing its appeal to the huge fan base that swear by it as the king of on-line slot gaming. It’s an enviable reputation, no doubt, and one that I’m sure every other slot developer would love to challenge, yet, nobody seems up to the task of creating a high variance game that can offer the same excitement and huge payouts that NetEnt built into this game so many years ago. It’s a strange old world sometimes.
So what is so special about it? On first glance, not a lot – its quite basic in that there are only nine paylines and the paytable, whilst reasonable for a nine line game, certainly doesn’t have much in the way of huge wins available during the base game. This is in contrast to other super high variance nine liners such as Microgamings “Break Da Bank Again”, where it is possible to win a very reasonable 800x or so your bet even in regular spins. It’s all about the free spins mode with Dead or Alive.
As ever, the scatter symbols are the key to triggering the all important bonus round, though unlike pretty much every other game out there, Dead or Alive also has another crazy trick up its sleeve – a mammoth 2500x bet payoff just for hitting all five scatter symbols. That means its possible to win an insane £225 for just a £0.09p minimum bet playing this game! And that’s before your bonus round even begins!
During the bonus, every wild that lands on the reels will become sticky and remain in place until the end of the feature. If you catch a sticky wild on all five reels, you win an additional five free spins with all the wilds you have accumulated so far remaining in place for the extra spins. This gives amazingly lucrative win possibilities, and I personally have won a crazy £380 from a £0.09p bet on one lucky occasion. The variance of this game is totally off the scale, that’s for sure!
The only negative I can attribute to this fantastic game is the lack of a quick spin option - I've heard that NetEnt no longer have the base files for this game or something like that, which means they are unable to create a new updated version for mobile or to add features like Quick Spin which are now expected in every game. It's a shame, but not a deal breaker for me!
