Chilli Heat is a 5 reel and 25 payline slot from Pragmatic Play that I discovered quite recently. The game is inspired by Mexican theme and reminds me of Spinata Grande by the looks of it. The game itself has 2 features- a free spins bonus round and a jackpot bonus round.

To be honest, I do enjoy this game but by no means it's something unique. Pragmatic Play has released several games that have pretty much the same structure. If you land more than 5 cash symbols on base game or in bonus rounds, you trigger the jackpot bonus. You're given 3 respins and the goal is to fill the reels with cash or jackpot cash symbols- every spin you land one or more cash symbols, the respins reset to 3. I haven't won any of the jackpots on it (100x, 200x or 1000x bet) but I do enjoy them because it helps to boost the balance. The average wins I've had from this feature range from 30x-60x bet win which is quite nice, and it's not too difficult to trigger them.

On the other hand, the free spins bonus is something I'm not too thrilled about. When you get 3 bonus symbols, you get 8 free spins but there's no multiplier for them. The only good thing is that this game has stacked wild symbols and then there's a possibility for a nice 5oak win. However, I haven't had any wins higher than 60x bet on the free spins and it was due to a combination of the jackpot bonus feature and free spins. 

Overall I think this is a medium variance game and I enjoy playing it time to time to either boost my balance a bit or keep the balance steady. I haven't had any wins over 100x bet and I'm not sure of the games' potential to give a mega win, unless you land the mega jackpot that's attached to your bet size. All in all, I would recommend to try the slot but it's a typical Pragmatic Play slot- small wins come up often but bigger ones are hard to get.

With a title like Chilli Heat, I had expected this game from Pragmatic Play to be hot, but after giving it a good browse through and a quick play, I have to say that it is one more game that isn't really pragmatic to go on playing regularly, or for long periods of time!

Why? Firstly, Pragmatic Play games are not known to be hot games - meaning, they usually do not meet the high expectations of big-win hunters. Take this Chilli Heat game for instance - the win values of all the symbols are extremely low, the Wild symbol is non-paying and doesn't even double the wins with it, getting 3 scatters only pay 1x the total bet, plus awarding only 8 free spins with no win multiplier! My first reaction to all these was "sheesh!" Nevertheless, I gave the game a try, just to see how it would play and pay, but that's about it. The game doesn't attract me at all, the payouts and the free spins doesn't thrill me, and there isn't anything else that would make me come back to play it again!

As I've said numerous times before, any game that doesn't pay for the Wild symbols, and doesn't multiply the wins with it either, are a no-no for me. Getting 2 scatters are non-paying as well, so that worsen the payouts. The top highest paying symbol? Well, get 5 of them and you win 8x your total bet amount - that's simply ridiculous! The 8 free spins are without any win multiplier, so big wins are really impossible to get! Any decent good wins, if you can consider them as 'good wins', may probably come from the Money Bag Respins Feature, with its 3 Jackpot prizes, but then again, the prizes are just not big enough! The Grande Jackpot only has a $500 prize, the Major at $50, whilst the Mini at $15, all at the minimum bet level. But of course, higher bets would increase the prizes accordingly.
