Slot Features
Wild symbol will sub in for all the symbols in the game to help form win combos, and the only symbol it cannot substitute in for, is the Scatter. In addition to the Wild being able to create combos when it substitutes in a win, it can also create a win on its own when 2 or more of them land on an active payline.
Scatter & Free Spins
There are 3 different Scatter symbol versions in the game, and one goes for each spin type. You have Normal Spins Scatter, Free Spins Scatter and Pyramid Spins Scatter. Getting 3 Normal Spins Scatter will trigger the Free Spins feature.
During Free Spins, the Scatter symbol will change into the Wild Scatter that will act as a regular Wild with abilities to sub in for all the symbols.
Once the Free Spins are triggered, you will get a Special Expanding symbol that will be randomly chosen before the spins start. This symbol will be able to expand to cover the entire reel throughout the feature, and it can land anywhere on the reels.
Pyramid Spin
Landing between 2 and 5 Free Spins Scatters within the Free Spins feature will trigger Pyramid Spin round. Expanding symbol from the Free Spins feature will lock in place until Pyramid Spins end.
Summary
Cat Wilde and the Lost Chapter is another great looking addition to the Wilde Family series, and we absolutely like the fact that Play’n GO decided to develop the series further. Majority of things are the same in terms of gameplay, as the provider tends to keep that steady recognition mark that is typical for the series, but yet again, add something new that will spice up the entire gameplay and the story. It’s highly volatile slot with 96.20% RTP and a juicy max win that is capped at x10000 the bet.
Cat Wilde and the Lost Chapter is a 5 reel and 10 payline slot from Play'n Go that was released earlier this year. I personally really discovered it just about a month ago when I was on a low rolling session and wanted to play some new games I hadn't played before. And as a Play'n Go fan, I'm always interested in trying their new games. However, when it comes to this game, I wasn't necessarily excited about it. And there's a few reasons for that.
To start off, the game is inspired by the ancient Egypt theme- generally I do like it a lot but I feel like every other Play'n Go release is another Egyptian game. Secondly, the game features are very similar to their other slots- in this case it felt almost like a reskin of Lord Merlin and the Lady of the Lake slot due to the bonus feature. Also, the base game certainly feels like a female version of Book of dead, in this case the main character being Cat Wilde instead of Rich Wilde.
When it comes to the mechanics, the game is very simple. You have 10 paylines, a wild symbol, a scatter symbol and your regular low-paying and high paying symbols. I've played this game a few times now and in the abse game I haven't had any wins in excess of 30x bet. Then, when you get 3 scatter symbols, you get to play 8 free spins. On every spin, one symbol is chosen as your special expanding symbol like in other book-type games. However, the reason why I compared it to the Lord Merlin game was due to the extra feature in the free spins- if you get 2 scatters in the free spins, you'll get Pyramid Spins.
In the Pyramid spins, you play 2 free spins with the special expanding symbol that was active when triggering the pyramid spins. I do like this feature as you can get more free spins and also if you get the pyramid spins with a premium symbol, you can possibly get bigger wins. But having said that, I haven't yet had any big wins on this game and my best result came from free spins, where I also had the pyramid spins feature, which ended with a 60x bet win.
Overall Cat Wilde and the Lost Chapter is a decent game, but I don't really plan to play it much in the future. The game is simple yet I feel like it doesn't have a unique element which would make me come back and play it more. And while you can get good wins for 4 oak and 5 oak premium combinations, I would still rather prefer other Play'n Go games over this one.
