Boogie Monsters is not such a popular video slot from Microgaming software. I discovered this game a long time ago. I do not remember the first time I was playing it so I wanted to give it a fair try the second time. It is not a bad game at all. Wilds appear very often but they do not have any multipliers. I played the game for a while but after I realized I am not going to hit any big win I changed it after only 100 spins.

This game is a combination of disco dancing and fearful monsters. The music will probably attract the old generation and take them back to the Studio 51. It is a 5 reel 40 pay lines game with scatters, wilds, free games and a bonus round. I must admit that some of the monsters are really scary in this monster themed video slot. Some other symbols include the rock `n roll Witch, Boogie Monsters, green eyed Ghouls and the Werewolf. You can bet min amount of 0.01 up to 0.50. and the coin amounts are from 1 to 10, with a maximum betting amount per spin of 200 credits.

The glowing blue lamp is the scatter symbol. If you have 3 or more lamp symbols free spins are activated. You get 13 and all wins are multiplied by 5. Your free spins can be re triggered during the free spins. Bat symbols trigger the bonus game which is called Fat Bat Bonus when 3 or more appear on the 5 reels. The scatters have to appear on consecutive reels in order to trigger this feature. After the bonus round is activated a bonus screen will appear. There are 12 areas and you can only pick 3 of them and you can power up your winnings up to 60 x multiplier.

How this game look? Same as many other Microgaming old slots, nothing extra, but it is does not bad, do not fear. Game contains quite high amount of paylines - 40, so I played 150 spins with 0.40 bets, luckily I have enough balance and not risked a lot.

Base game is funny. Payouts for most symbols are very low and only 5 wilds or 5 scatters pay good (like at numbers of other Microgaming old games). Wilds unfortunately do not have any multiplier, but the thing is that wilds appear quite a lot. Of course it does not want to stand in one payline, but still many wilds = many small wins, which keep balance alive until you hit bonus game or freespins.

There are two features, like I spoilered already. First one it is freespins feature, it can be triggered only by 3 or more scatters from left to right. You will then have 13 freespins with very solid x 5 multiplier. Get feature once, and won 45 x total bet. I am sure this one can pay me much more better, just need some more luck.

Bonus game is triggered same way as freespins. 3 or more bonus symbols from left to right, and it is started. Just pick items during this bonus game, nothing else. Have it twice, both times it was something like 20x total bet, not very interesting I must say.

Moderate experience and feelings with this game. Freespins feature have some potential, but bonus game is not interesting. If I could change something in this game - I add some multiplier to wild symbols, and also add some bigger payouts to bonus game, because it is just not worth to wait it and get something like x 20 total bet.

Boogie Monsters game powered by microgaming. Not a bad game. I don’t play it a lot but have given it a fair try. This is a 40 line game so the minimum bet is €0.40. I haven’t seen any other game like this on microgaming so I would say it is one of a kind.I guess this game was not popular enough to make others like it Anyways the game is not that bad. It has two features, the free spins feature and a Fat Bat bonus. Both are decent and have a chance to pay a lot of money, even on a small bet.

To get the Fat Bat bonus you have to get three or more bats adjacent to each other. The more bats you get the bigger the payout. This is a pick bonus so you will be asked to pick random items in a room and reveal your wins. I play this game on €0.40 bet so usually I would win around €5 to €10. I never got four bats adjacent but I think you could win more if you do get them.

The free spins bonus is awarded when you get three or more scatters adjacent to each other. You will be awarded with 13 free spins with all wins multiplied by 5. This is a great bonus to win big. With such a big multiplier any combinations of four or five of a kind pay big. Max I got on free spins was around €36. The free spins can be retriggered and that makes it much better.

Over all the game is ok. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to get things adjacent to each other. Makes it a bit more difficult to get the bonus. The graphics are nice and the sound effects are good. In my view you have to play this game a lot to get the bonus and that is why I don’t play it a lot. This game talks a few good things on the dance floor. It's Boogie Monsters, a twist of Disco Dancing and fearful monsters, if they were real, which we fear of will provide winnings and lead you to a melodious start. The disco music surrounding this 40 Paylines Microgaming video slot is best to be played for at least 3 coins and every combination must be all natural in order to win.

What Boogie Monsters lacks in Wild symbols can make up for in feature bonuses. There are two to enjoy, one is for 3 adjacent disco bats that will trigger the bonus. 3 picks from the bonus screen can change your game depending on your triggering bet. I find that looking in the laundry hamper, the toy chest or the planter gives me the most but as it's random everytime it is not guaranteed but do test your luck in these places! Of course, these bats in my opinion comes out much more then the blue lava lamp symbols. On another good note if I do hit the 13 Free spins, triggered when 3 lamps appear in a row gives a cool 5x multiplier so I can get ready to boogie down with the roller skating mummy and the electric playing gal because I had my share of winnings.......$86 on my $1.20 bet is what my highest win has won me in one of my sessions. It's so nice to get this feature retriggered again for 26 Free spins total even though it can be hard!

In this entertaining game of boogie-ing, there will be things that video slots will lack of. We all know that in order to fully absorb the entertainment and winnings coming from these slots we must have Wild symbols. Unfortunately for Boogie Monsters, there aren't any!

Free spins triggers are annoying because it needs to be for example on 1st, 2nd and 3rd OR 3rd, 4th and 5th in a row. Where ever the bonus/free spin symbol lands is where it will try to complete. Bat feature is much more easier to receive then the 3 lava lamp symbols for 13 Free spins at 5x.
