Blaze of Ra is a video slot with 5 reels and 40 pay-lines powered by Push Gaming software provider. This slot is inspired with ancient Egyptian civilization. The reels are set on 4x5 grid and they are purplish colored with a thin golden rim. They are set against desert backdrop with pyramids right form the reels, and Ra standing left from the reels. Before you meet the most powerful god in Egypt, you should set your betting range the way it suits your needs the best. When you click on an arrow next to "Total Bet" you will be able to set the bets which ranges from 0.20 to 100. By clicking on "Auto Spin" the reels will turn without interruption for a chosen number of times, whereas "Spin" will set the reels in motion once.
Ra is the Wild symbol in the game and it can substitute for all other symbols in the game except for the Scatter. Wilds can form their own winning combos when you land more than three of them on an active payline.
The game has a Nudging Wilds feature which gets triggered when one or more Ra symbols appear in the top 2 symbol positions of one or more reels before the spin. These reels will nudge down by 2 symbol positions rather than spin, and all other reels will spin.
Scarab is the Scatter symbol in the game, and if you land 3 or more of them anywhere on the reels you will trigger the bonus feature. Each landed Scarab symbol will reveal either 1 or 2 Spins. The number of Spins awarded is equal to the sum of value revealed by the Scarab symbols.
During the bonus feature, the first, third and the fifth reel are covered with expanded Ra Wild symbol which remain there for the duration of spins. If you land 1 or more Scarab during this feature, you will win additional spins.

Lately, I have been playing a lot of Push Gaming slots, and Blaze Of Ra was one of their games I had to try out. It has 5 reels, 40 paylines, and an RTP of 96.4%. Even if Egyptian Gods themed slots are on every corner, Blaze of Ra seems to maintain a high standard, as the game is well-designed. With 0.20$ per spin up to 100$, it seems to be good for both casual players and high rollers.
It was a true enjoyment of how Push Gaming kept this game simple with only 12 symbols in total. It makes the game less confusing, and easy to understand. Higher value symbols include representations of various gods: Bastet, Osiris, golden ankh, Ra's staff, the Eye of Ra and lotus flower. There are also common cards J, Q, K, and A being low paying symbols. However, I must say, after having a look at the paytable, it doesn't seem appealing at all. Bastet can pay up to 20x your bet, Osiris 15x, and rest of symbols 2.5-15x for a full line. There is also a Wild symbol Ra himself that can pay up to 50x.
Nudging Wilds is one of the features I already saw in other Push Gaming slots. The wild symbol appears stacked on the reels and each time at least one of these symbols lands on top two rows of a reel the Nudging Wilds gets triggered. The Wilds will nudge down two positions with every spin, and it will be over once the Wilds disappears from the screen. This is the best way to have some good winnings in the base game if you are lucky enough. It didn't go that well for me as my winnings were 10,20x multiple times with Ra wilds covering 2 reels.
The free spins feature will be triggered when 3 or more Scarab scatters symbols appear on the reels. Afterward, each Scarab will get you 1 or 2 spins, meaning that you can win up to 10 free spins in the best-case scenario. As soon as the feature starts you will notice that reels 1, 3 and 5 are getting fully stacked with Wilds. For every additional scatter symbol that lands while playing feature, you will be awarded 1 extra spin. The free spins offer you the biggest chance for a max win potential as if you manage to fill all the reels with Ra symbols you will get 2,000x.
Playing Blaze of Ra felt refreshing compared to other Egyptian slots. I had a couple of good wins 50, 100x during free spins and finished my session with profit. It's a med-high volatility slot, in the base game you will have consistent wins, most of the time being 0.2-0.5x your bet. So I can't recommend this game if you are trying to beat the wagering.
There are just better games by Push Gaming that are far more volatile. For example, Razor Shark can pay up to 50,000x or Jammin' Jars 20,000x. If this game had any sort of multiplier feature, and a bigger max potential it would probably be one of the best slots Push Gaming made.
