Big Bass Bonanza Slot Overview

Netting a bumper catch of coins is the name of the game in the Big Bass Bonanza slot, a fishing-themed game by Pragmatic Play. It’s a 5 reel, 10 payline video slot that comes with simple design and a classic bonus round. Once triggered, you’ll receive up to 20 free spins. Look out for wilds as these collect the cash values attached to the fish symbols. Re-triggers bring multipliers into play which can send payout rocketing by up to 10x. Offering an RTP rate of up to 96.71%, find out all you need to know in our in-depth Big Bass Bonanza review.

Big Bass Bonanza Details, RTP, Payout and Volatility

The Big Bass Bonanza slot game is played using a straightforward 5 reel, 3 row, 10 payline machine. Create winning combinations by landing 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols or wilds left to right in a payline, starting from reel 1.

There’s something for everyone when it comes to bet levels. You can play at stakes of between $/£/€0.10 and $/£/€250 per spin. Use the + and – buttons next to the spin button to adjust your bet size. Players outside the UK can set between 10 and 1,000 auto spins as required as well quick and turbo modes.

The Big Bass Bonanza RTP is 96.71% which sits nicely above the 96% average. That said, there are also versions with 95.67% and 94.5% so be sure to check you’re playing the game with the most favourable return to player rate at casino sites

The volatility in this angling adventure is on the high side of medium, coming in at 4 out of 5. Finally, the Big Bass Bonanza slot offers 2,100 x bet max wins. Winning this amount will occur every 3.8 million spins on average (the max win probability rate).

Big Bass Bonanza Theme, Audio and Symbols

Like the other games in the Big Bass series, the theme is fishing and the design in the Big Bass Bonanza slot is simply done. The deep blue reels are set underwater and a flanked by assorted plant life and divided by bubbling water.

There’s a rather basic, cartoon quality to the visuals here which are nicely done. This isn’t a high def visual extravaganza. The rather low-key imagery works well with this theme. Likewise, the gentle and rather jazz influenced backing track.

On the reels, you’ll see A to 10 royal ranks alongside 5 higher paying symbols that all relate to the fishing theme. There’s a fish symbol as well as a tackle box, a dragonfly, a fishing rod and a float. Land 5 of the latter across a payline and you’ll hook an award equal to 200 x your total bet.

Entering the action in the bonus round is the fisherman. Proudly holding a whopper he’s caught, the fisherman is the game’s wild. There’s also a Fish Scatter symbol that triggers the free spins. Below is a list of all symbols with their payout values and functions:

  • 10: 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 2.5 or 10 x bet
  • J: 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 2.5 or 10 x bet
  • Q: 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 2.5 or 10 x bet
  • K: 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 2.5 or 10 x bet
  • A: 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 2.5 or 10 x bet
  • Fish: 3, 4 or 5 = 1, 5 or 20 x bet
  • Tackle Box: 3, 4 or 5 = 2, 10 or 50 x bet
  • Dragonfly: 3, 4 or 5 = 2, 10 or 50 x bet
  • Fishing Rod: 3, 4 or 5 = 3, 15 or 100 x bet
  • Multi-Coloured Float: 2, 3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 5, 20 or 200 x bet
  • Fisherman Wild: Substitutes for all symbols during free spins
  • Fish Scatter: 3+ triggers Free Spins feature

Big Bass Bonanza Mobile

You can cast off here on your tablet and smartphones as well as on your desktop or laptop computer. That includes iOS, Android and Windows handsets. The simple design and gameplay make the Big Bass Bonanza mobile slot a very easy one to play at mobile casino sites

Big Bass Bonanza Bonus Features

Big Bass Bonanza comes with just the single bonus feature. It’s a good one though, offering a minimum of 10 free spins. A couple of potentially tasty extras can really rev up the action here too.

Free Spins

Land 3, 4 or 5 Fish Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels on the same base game spin and you’ll trigger the Free Spins feature. Respectively, your reward will be 10, 15 or 20 free spins.

As we mentioned earlier, the Fisherman enters the fray during the free spins. He’s wild and replaces all the standard symbols when he forms part of a winning line. He can also help you net some extra payouts. You’ll see that some of the fish symbols come with cash amounts attached. These are worth 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 50 or 2,000 x your total bet. Most of the time, these fish will harmlessly swim away without troubling the cashier.

That’s not the case when the Fisherman wild lands though. In that happy event, the Fisherman Wild gathers the amounts attached to all the fish on display on that free spin. These are then paid as a prize. Each Fisherman on display catches the fish prizes.

For example, land a free spin that contains fish with £5 and £10 attached but no wild and you’ll win nothing. Land those same fish symbol with 1 Fisherman Wild and you’ll win a £15 bonus. If there are 2 Fisherman Wilds on that free spin with the £5 and £10 fish, they each collect the prizes for a £30 payout.

Each time a Fisherman Wild lands, it is collected in a meter. Each time you collect 4 wilds, it delivers a retrigger and another round of 10 free spins is added to your total. Retriggers also bring multipliers into the mix. The first retrigger awards a 2x multiplier with 3x and 10x multipliers on offer if you manage to land 3 and 4 retriggers. There is also a total of free spins up for grabs.

Big Bass Bonanza Slot Verdict

The Big Bass Bonanza slot sticks to the usual recipe of simple design and straightforward gameplay. It all comes together very nicely. Visually, it’s no thing of beauty but the cartoon imagery does the job perfectly well. As does the rather jolly backing track. It’s all rather laid back. Like a day spent on the riverbank in fact.

There’s only 1 bonus feature available here but it’s a good one. Collecting the cash values attached to the fish symbols can really liven up the action, especially if you manage a re-trigger or two and bring the multipliers into play. The better than average RTP of 96.71% is a plus. The max win of 2,100 x bet is a little on the low side.

I enjoyed this angling expedition. You might not land a whopper of a jackpot but it’s a slot that delivers some relaxed and entertaining action. That said, it’s a very popular Pragmatic Play slot with many online casinos using this game in particular for their free spins offers

Big Bass Bonanza Pros and Cons

  • High 96.71% RTP rate
  • Spawned a series of Big Bass slots
  • 1 of Pragmatic Play’s most popular slots

  • Max win isn’t very high
  • Gameplay not entirely original

Other Big Bass Series Slots

The Big Bass series has proved extremely popular with online slot players. The games usually follow a similar formula of rather basic design and simple gameplay. There are a few variations that are certainly worth investigating though.

Big Bass Day at the Races transports players to the horse racing while Big Bass Bonanza Megaways ramps up the action with the innovative shape-shifting mechanic. There are also season Halloween and Christmas versions. I particularly like Big Bass Amazon Xtreme which has better bonus features and 10,000 x bet max wins.

The biggest potential jackpots of 20,000 x bet are on offer from Big Bass Hold & Spinner Megaways which comes with up to 147,456 ways to win and a high RTP rate of 96.7%. Finally, if you’ve enjoyed any game in the series, chances are you like them all.

Big Bass Bonanza: Fishing for Unimaginable Wins And Almost Catching the Big One!

Have you ever dreamed of reeling in a big catch without leaving the comfort of your couch, then Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Bonanza is the slot for you. Bass, buoys, dragonflies, a fishing kit and other symbols dominate this Pragmatic Play fishing themed slot! Too bad there's no cat fish. The whiskers of these aquatic creatures are amusing to me!

This aquatic adventure is packed with cool graphics, a catchy soundtrack called Laugh with me by Mica Emory from Thistle and Whistles and enough fishy entertainment to keep me hooked onto the bait that is this slot for an hour or two.

Let’s dive right into the deep waters, shall we? Big Bass Bonanza is a 5-reel, 3-row slot with 10 fixed paylines, meaning you can’t adjust the number of lines in play but who needs to when the game is this entertaining? With an above-average RTP of 96.71%, you’re in for a decent chance of landing some impressive wins. The game’s betting range is also quite accommodating, allowing every player to spin from as little as $0.10 to a whopping $250 per spin, catering to both casual players and high rollers who dare catch those staggering fortunes!

Now, about my near-legendary fishing expedition on Big Bass Bonanza. I was playing at BetSofa, betting a modest $0.70 per spin, when suddenly, the reels aligned to reveal almost a full screen of fish symbols. My heart raced like it was in tachycardia mode, as I watched the fish line up, knowing that a big win was just within my satisfying reach. The payout? A respectable $100.10. But oh, the agony! If only the fourth reel had landed another fish symbol on the very top of the reel, my winnings would have jumped to a cool $140. So close, yet so far but hey, that’s the thrilling exchange of this PP game for a $0.70 bet!

The main attraction of Big Bass Bonanza is it's free spins bonus round. Land three or more scatter symbols, and it'll trigger this feature, where the fisherman symbol comes into play. Each time the fisherman appears, he collects the cash values attached to the fish symbols on the screen, adding them to your total win. Collect enough wilds and you’ll even increase your multiplier up to 10x, making those fishy prizes even juicier.

While Big Bass Bonanza doesn’t offer a progressive jackpot, it's medium volatility ensures a really nice balanced mix of smaller, frequent wins and the occasional big catch. The game’s graphics are acceptable, with a cheerful, relaxing ukulele vibe that makes it easy to get lost in the underwater world. Plus, it’s fully mobile-optimized, so you can enjoy fishing for wins anywhere you go without any lag or glitches. (Unless it's one of those casinos lol)

In conclusion, Big Bass Bonanza is a delightful slot that combines engaging gameplay with the potential for substantial water splashing rewards. This game offers a fun and rewarding experience. So grab your virtual fishing rod and dive into the rushing waters of the action – you never know when you might reel in the big one! I look forward to finding that rare max win fish on any of these Big Bass series!

It used to be a great game but now it is terrible. It doesn't pay out, there are less scatters so getting 3 or more is impossible. You can spend so much money and get zilch. I want to. spend on aso that pays and not just takes your money and not even gives you a bonus. I spent £50 on it on a fast spin and I got one bonus and my award was £4 now come on!

Everything about it, is exactly what I said above. Waste of money. I used to play it almost every week but now I keep away from it as I want to keep my money for a slot that pays.

The attractive-looking return to player lured me in, but my experience has been a terrible return and would’ve been an extremely low percentage in my opinion.

The bonus free spins feature seems almost impossible to get. Deposited £400, playing at small stakes of £1 to £2, lost the lot in twenty minutes and not a feature or any decent wins at all. I really wonder where these advertised percentage payouts come from ?!

Yes, it is a highly volatile and difficult slot, but I believe that is something to keep in mind when playing slots to choose the right one for you. For me, Big Bass Bonanza has the right level of challenge combined with great features such as multipliers and money collection symbols. I'm not always lucky, of course, but I always come back to try again.

Haha, been playing this game since it came out, my advice: STAY AWAY. Just today, an hour ago I started with 500 euros at 1 euro/spin. I was done playing in 15 minutes. I even hit a legendary 5 scatter bonus (20 spins) which paid 30x, so 30 euros. I have screenshots of this but I can't seem to post them here. The 2000x fish seems attractive but it simply doesn't exist. After losing more than 50k in the past months I know this for sure. Again, stay away from this slot unless you got a big wallet.

Big Bass Bonanza is a game that was released earlier this year from Pragmatic Play game provider. I had tried it a few times on Social tournaments that are hosted by Pragmatic Play and I have to say it's a quite interesting game. But do I think it's unique? Not really, no.

The slot is inspired by the fishing theme and it has 5 reels and 10 paylines. In the base game there's not much happening, only the fact that you can land fishes with money prizes, and if the fisherman, who's also the wild symbol, lands on that spin- you'll get the cash prizes from the fishes. Other than that, there's not much else going on on the base game. But once you get 3 or more scatter symbols, you get to experience the bonus round.

The reason why I mentioned that I don't think it's a unique game is due to its similarities with Fishin Frenzy slot from Blueprint. Both in the base game and in the free spins, both of these games offer cash prizes if fishes land on the same spin with the fisherman wilds. In my opinion, Big Bass Bonanza takes great inspiration from the Fishin Frenzy slot, which has never been my cup of tea.

That being said, I do find the bonus round quite exciting. You get 10 free spins and the goal is to get at least 4 wilds to unlock 10 additional spins- this time with a 2x multiplier. There are two more stages, next one comes with a 3x multiplier and then there's a 10x multiplier. Then if you're lucky to get fish cash coins with fisherman, you can get some really nice wins. I've personally never got to the 10x multiplier stage, but I've managed to get to the 3x multiplier stage and that's when you can get good wins with the fishes. Also, it's quite entertaining to "chase" to the next stage.

Overall, I'm not a huge fan of this game but it's a decent game. The free spins seem to come quite often and usually it's not too difficult to get to the 2x multiplier stage. I do like the chase element with the fish cash coins and multipliers, so I think it's not a bad game to play when lowrolling.
