This Astral Luck game from Rival software is one game that I haven't played before, simply because I couldn't access any Rival games before, until very recently. Needless to say, there are still many more Rival games that I haven't played on, but will do eventually, slow but surely. Rival is yet another game provider that likes to clone their games, very much like what Microgaming does, which Play'nGo are also doing nowadays, probably taking the easy way out to produce 'new' games for their customers. Well, I'm one player who can never appreciate such a move. I can accept 1 or 2 cloned games, but more than this, the games become real boring and unexciting. Astral Luck is one such game for me.

The Wild symbol in Astral Luck does not pay anything for itself, does not double any wins with it, making it a dumb symbol, and only appears on reels 1, 3 and 5, but it does expands into a full Wild Reel with any wins. It also substitutes for other symbols except for the Scatter and Bonus symbols. The Scatter symbol is yet another dumb symbol that doesn't pay anything for getting them, but getting 3, 4 or 5 of them triggers 5, 10 or 20 free spins, with all wins tripled. Yep, that's right, only 5 free spins to start with, sheesh! Free Spins games are always retriggerable for Rival games but there's no such indication for Astral Luck. I didn't get any chance of the retrigger, so this bit remains uncertain for me. There is also the Bonus symbol, another dumb one that doesn't pay anything for itself, but getting 3 or more of them triggers the Astral Wheel Bonus Round. 3 spins on the Wheel are awarded to win cash prizes. As for the other symbols in the game, each zodiac symbol pays from 7500x down to 50x the line bet for getting 5 of each kind. Pity that the Wild, Scatter and Bonus symbols don't pay anything, making this paytable a low one.

Do I like playing this game? Frankly speaking, no! I got bored rather quickly, simply because my first play on Astral Luck didn't bring in any good win. I couldn't even get any Free Spins game, except for 1 Astral Wheel Bonus game, which luckily paid a decent 54x my bet amount. Otherwise, I would have been really disappointed. Furthermore, I've never appreciated games that have non-paying Wild, Scatter and Bonus symbols. They seemed so pointless, besides reducing all the chances in getting more wins from the game, but all these are now typical of most Rival games. Either you accept them, or don't, like me.

This game has 50 pay-lines and 5 reels. If I remember well, Astral Luck is one of the first video slot games with 50 pay-lines created in Rival. I'm not sure but I think that only Diggin Deep and Nuclear Fishin older than this game, when it comes to Rival slot games with 50 pay-lines. The graphics are pretty simple here, and I was not a bit impressed.

Signs of the Zodiac served for the theme for this game, so for the symbols are selected the symbols representing the signs of the Zodiac. I never had too much luck with Astral Luck but the game offers a several features that helps you to get to some big wins. There is first of all the Expanding Wild symbol that appears at 1st, 3rd and 5th reels. Of course, the wild symbol substitutes all other symbols. Then there is the free spins bonus. You can get 5, 10 or 20 free spins. Otherwise, I like free spins and I do not like too much games that, let's say for 3 scatter symbols offer only a 5 free spins. And finally, there is the bonus game called Astral Rings. Maybe here you may expect the biggest wins. Yes, in the end I must mention the jackpot symbol. Five of these symbols will pay 7,500 x bet.

I'm a big fan of Rival slot games but Astral Luck was not to my taste. Probably the reason for this is that I never had much luck with this game. At a time when Astral Luck just appeared, often it was my choice. But it's been at least 2 years as I didn’t played it. Therefore, before I started to write this review I played it for some time for fun, just to remember of the rules and the atmosphere.

For Astral Luck I will not give a passing grade. I think that this game is one of several worst Rival games. If you ask me, Astral Luck deserves only 5 out of 10 stars.

This is a new game from Rival gaming, and to me it is ok. I never expect too much from rival, because most of the games are very similar, but this one is not too bad. There are 50 lines in this game and that on its own makes it unique. There aren't many games with so many lines on Rivals, and I'm not too sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing.

The pays in this game are ok and the bonus is not bad. For me personally this game is a bit expensive, especially with my luck it took me over €40 to get the feature. As always after a while of playing it became personal and I just had to get the feature.
Even though there are 50 lines I could never get a good line hit and my best win was almost €10. Over all I would say that the more I played this game the more disappointing it got.

I am sure that some players out there got some great wins, but for me it was plain boring. Yes the game does look good enough to attract players, but that is pretty much all it has. And if it doesn't feel like paying, then you are finished.
There is an interesting feature in this game and to get it I had to get three or more scatters. You are presented with a huge wheel with star signs. You have three spins and what ever it lands on is yours. There are two pays for each spin as the wheel is made of two parts. It's fun and I won €12 on €0.50 bet. You could get more but you have to be supper lucky.

I honestly expected more and was disappointed. If I was to rate this game I would give it 5.5 out of 10.

Rival has been characterized by creating slot machines with similar characteristics, one might even say it almost always uses the same template and only adjust details such as colors, images and music in each of their new games. In the development of this game called "Astral Luck" Rival does not seem to have changed their strategy in the design, however they have implemented small changes and innovations, of which the most noticeable to the naked eye is the use of animations 3D on symbols, which gives a little more life to the game.

Astral Luck has the traditional 5-reel format and has 50 paylines. Bet levels can be chosen by selecting from 1 to 10 coins and coin values are available for each $ 0.01, $ 0.05, $ 0.10 and $ 0.25. The 12 zodiac signs are used as symbols during the base game as well: 8 as standard symbols, 1 as wild symbol, 1 as scatter for free spins, 1 as scatter for jackpot, and 1 as scatter for the bonus feature.

- The wild symbol works as substitute for standard symbols and expands itself to form new winning lines.
- Free Spins: They are triggered with 3, 4 or 5 scatters to grant 5, 10, and 20 spins respectively. All winnings during these spins have 3x multiplier.
- Jackpot: The prize for this feature is specified in the pay table, and the maximum multiplier is 7500x the bet on a line of 5 of this kind.
- Bonus round: is triggered with 3 or more scatters, and once triggered the transition is made to a wheel of fortune with double ring, each ring contains the 12 zodiacal signs and both rotate independently. Stopping, each ring grants a certain prize depending on the sign of the Zodiac that is successful, so that the player receives two awards for each spin. In total, the player receives 3 turns. Trigger this feature is not so difficult and granted awards are quite generous, and because of all these, this feature deserves the title of "the crown jewel," even when compared with prizes delivered by other slots during their respective bonus rounds.

I believe “Astral Luck” has been a simple but lovely game. For me it was crucial to have raised my stakes slowly to finally get a decent profit. A generous game that cannot be underestimated and it definitely deserves a try.
